I do wear quite a lot of make up but I wouldn't go anywhere without wearing mascara. I am often trying new brands and types trying to find one that will make my lashes look longer, thicker and curlier. My latest purchase was the Sexy Curves mascara by Rimmel.

What does the product do?
The product promises to make your lashes curl by up to 70% more than usual for up to 16 hours to give you a wide eyed look. It's also claims that it will add volume to the lashes and it contains a special formula which contains proteins and vitamins to strengthen the lashes and leave them in a better condition and healthier.

How do you use the product?
The product is to be applied to cleansed lashes and moved using a zig zag motion from the roots of the lashes to the tips.

Packaging and Price
The product comes in a purple metallic and shiny mascara tube. It has sexy curves written on the side. The selling point of this product is the wand which is attached to the lid. It is made out of purple flexible plastic which short spiky bristles and which has three bumps. The shorter brushes are there in order to add volume to your lashes and the longer ones are there in order to curve the lashes and to separate them so that your lashes look fuller.

The mascara can be bought for around £7. It can be bought from stores like Boots and Superdrug, large supermarkets and also from a variety of online websites.

Application and Performance
The mascara is easy to apply and even though the wand is flexible, it isn't so flexible that the product is difficult to use. The mascara coats the lashes quite quickly with minimal effort and the colour is nice and dark so it makes my lashes more noticeable straight away. The wand does separate the lashes so it doesn't make them clump together which I am so glad about. It does make my lashes look lovely and long but it doesn't add too much volume in my opinion so my lashes so don't look as full as when I use other mascara. It does seem to lift the lashes and gives them a nice curve which is not as good as when I use an eye lash curler but it definitely makes a difference.

The effects are long lasting and my lashes still look nice at the end of the day. It does flake during the day or fall beneath my eye onto the skin and make me look tired even when I feel wide awake. The product is easily removed with my usual eye make up remover and it hasn't caused me any problems or irritations, even if I'm wearing my contact lenses. I'm not sure if my lashes are stronger or in a better condition as it's quite hard to tell with your lashes! They are certainly not in a worse condition however.

Conclusion
All in all, this is a good mascara which makes the lashes look pretty and separates them well. It does curl my lashes a little bit and the effects are long lasting. It won't blow you away but it is a good mascara for the price and I would probably but it again if I ever found it on offer.
