Advantages: excellent coverage, shades for every complexion, cheap but reputable

Disadvantages: none!

As a teenager, I always had really bad skin due to mild acne, not the best thing for self confidence eh? That, coupled with very pale skin, made finding a suitable foundation very difficult. My mam used to buy me ones from Virgin Vie or Avon but they were just too dark. So one day, a few years back I went on an absolute mission to find a suitable foundation for my skin. I couldn't afford a really flashy one, but the Rimmel advertising campaign on television caught my eye and so I trotted down town to try my luck.

I picked up the lightest shade, "001 Ivory" in the Stay Matte collection and tried the tester on the back of my hand...and that was it - sold! It was the perfect match for my skin, no orange lines left after that one! Since I started buying it a few years back, the packaging has not changed at all. It comes in a 30ml nude coloured tube with a brown lid and brown text on the tube. It costs £5.18 from your local Boots store and for me it lasts 2 -3 months based on everyday use. It is best kept in a cool place because I've left it near to the radiator and it went really runny....not good times! It's such good value; it offers up to 6 hours of shine free complexion, which can be a bit of a hassle if it gets a bit hot at work but that's what powder is for, right? It offers medium to high coverage and I have to say, it does cover really well. I'm 20 now and have used it for a couple of years now and it always offers excellent coverage; you usually can't even see any blemishes after you've put it on!

Given the price, the quality and how long it lasts, it is more than worth the money, especially with it being from such a reputable brand, if you're on a budget, try it now! You won't regret it!

Summary: let Rimmel give you a helping hand in the credit crunch!!

I have pale skin too so I think I might take a look at this one because so many foundations sem to give a "hint of orange"! x
