When I first started wearing eyeliner, probably about 5 or 6 years ago, this was the first eyeliner that I chose. And it was a very good choice!

The Rimmel London Black Kohl Eyeliner is a soft black pencil eyeliner that really defines your eyes. When sharpened, it can produce a nice thin line across your upper lid, or if you're looking for that darker smoky eye effect, it can be used with a more blunt tip, to create a thicker line, either on the top or bottom lids. Also to help with this smoky eye look, this eyeliner smudges very easily, so if you don't want a harsh edge on the line, you can smudge it out, either with your finger or a small makeup brush.

The only problem I found with this was that sometimes, if left too blunt, small lumps of the eyeliner stick to your eyelid, making the line look less neat. But these are easily removed, by a quick swipe of your finger, or again, using a small makeup brush.

The product is great value for money, at under £3, and it lasts ages. It is probably the best value makeup I've ever bought!
