      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A good lip gloss that I can happily recommend!

My local chemist were recently selling selected Rimmel make-up items at a quite generous discount so I snapped up one of these while I was fetching a prescription.

      USING IT
The lid has a slight indent on either side, which makes it easy to grip when you're applying the lip gloss. This isn't something that I've come across much before. The applicator itself is very soft so it's a quick and easy task to apply the lip gloss, which means that it glides across the lips. The applicator is also quite generous in terms of size so you should easily be able to pick up enough at a time to apply to either the top or bottom lip. The texture is just about right - it's not horribly thick and gloopy and is easy to apply.

      RESULTS
I have the All Day Seduction shade, which is a glossy, light pinkish shade. On first glance, it appeared to be a reddish-pink shade, which is why I chose it. After I got it home and tested it out, it looks more pinkish on the applicator, and I was worried that it wouldn't suit me as I don't ever wear pink on my lips. Happily, it doesn't look overly pink once it's applied and the end result is a glossy enhancement of natural lip colour which is just a tad brighter and obviously quite a bit more glossy. I don't tend to wear this shade in daytime as it's quite shimmery as well. The glossiness actually makes my lips look reasonably well moisturised when in fact they are actually on the dry side. Unlike many other lip glosses, it doesn't cling to these dry areas and draw attention to them.

I can't feel the lip gloss on my lips once it's been applied and it doesn't feel at all tacky or sticky. I absolutely hate lip glosses that make their presence felt so I'm very pleased that this one feels natural on the lips.

The packaging claims that this lip gloss will last for 6 hours. I haven't found this to be true but I have yet to find the holy grail of lip gloss that actually stays put so I can't criticise too much on this front. It does stay put for a few hours though, which is pretty good as long as you're not eating or drinking too much. Like most lip glosses, it will quickly come off if you're eating or drinking but unlike many others, I find it to be quite long-lasting if you're drinking via a straw (which I often do as I like fizzy drinks). It doesn't transfer to the straw as I had imagined and I don't think any visible difference. However, it does come off on glasses.

      PRICE
I paid £4.07 as it was on offer but I'm advised that the usual RRP is around £6.27. To be honest, I'm not sure that I would pay full price for this one again but this is more of a reflection on my budget than the product itself. I would happily pay the same price again though if I saw it on offer again.

      RECOMMENDED?
All in all, I really like this lip gloss. It's easy to apply and looks and feels natural on the lips. It doesn't live up to the staying power claims but I can't hold this against it too much, especially as I am someone who would need a heavy duty lip gloss in terms of eating and drinking a lot throughout the day! If you're looking for a lip gloss that veers towards natural but still offers a subtle shimmer and gloss, I can recommend this particular one as I'm really impressed with it.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Good product and reasonably priced

This is a super lip gloss from Rimmel that I purchased in Superdrug as part of a three for two offer. They normally retail for £6.29 each. I picked up three different varieties, Glamour, All Day Seduction and Unlimited Gold. In all there are 24 shades in the collection so there is plenty of choice and it is easy to find the shade that you are looking for.

The tubes are made of clear plastic and are curved slightly in shape and quite chunky to hold. They have a silver lip which has the wand applicator attached to it which is a pretty standard design. There is nothing particularly impressive about the packaging, functional rather than classy.

The applicator is very soft indeed and this makes applying the lip gloss very easy. You get just the right amount of gloss as there is a little edge on the rim of the tube to remove excess as you remove the wand so you do not end up with too much on the applicator. It is a smooth application and the lip gloss feels nice on my lips, not too heavy and not sticky either. The effect is to give my lips a nice glossy look to them and the lip gloss lasts a reasonable enough time, I reckon about 4 hours before a top up is needed and while this is a bit less than the six hours the tube promises the overall look is so good I can forgive it for not living up to its promises.

My lips look great with this on as the colours are nice and distinctive and given that it is very reasonably priced and there is such a wide range of colours to choose from I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending it.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      5 out of 5 stars!

This lipgloss is actually one of my all-time favourites! I have got it in two different shades - 'fuschia fever' and 'all day seduction' which are both pink. I got them from Boots and I paid about £6 for each of them which I think is quite a reasonable price considering the quality!

The first thing that I like about this lip gloss is the packaging. It's simple but it looks nice and I particularly like the applicator that comes with it. It is basically quite a flat, foamy sort of brush and it picks up just the right amount of product and applies it really neatly.

The formula of the lip glosses is lovely too, firstly it smells amazing (really sweet) and it doesn't have that horrible sticky, tacky sort of feel to it that some lip glosses have and it isn't drying either, in fact it is really moisturising on my lips without feeling greasy. The gloss looks lovely on my lips and my lips look noticeably plumper - this is not a plumping lipgloss but because its so shiny it reflects the light which makes them appear bigger.

The only small disadvantage is that if I put a little too much on it can feel quite heavy on my lips and obviously go gloopy but I seriously only need a really small amount for my lips because its so well pigmented and it makes my lips look really glossy while still looking reasonably natural and not too over the top. It does have shimmers in but it doesn't look really tacky and over the top or anything.

The lip gloss is really well pigmented and the colour lasts on my lips for a decent amount of time, not all day but it takes a good few hours before I need to re-apply it. Rimmel claim that it lasts for six hours, and while it does keep my lips looking glossy for this duration the colour tends to become less intense and less pigmented as time goes on and sdter 3 to 4 hours the colour looks a little faded & not as noticeable. This is still a reasonable amount of time in my opinion though.

Most lip glosses that are as moisturising as this one have the tendency to kind of slide off of the lips/not stay in place, but this one site on my lips nicely without feeling like a heavy layer and I've noticed that once I've removed the lip gloss my lips actually feel quite soft afterwards - definitely an advantage!

All in all I highly recommend these lip glosses and I give them five out of five stars. It isn't sticky, greasy or heavy and it is really moisturising, pretty long lasting, well pigmented, smells amazing and looks lovely & glossy while still looking subtle enough to wear with everyday make-up. It really is the perfect lip gloss!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

a great lipgloss I would recommend! another winner from rimmel for me :)

So I wandered into superdrug the other day and was lured over to the cosmetics stands as there was an offer on 3 for 2 with all products across all ranges. This did lead me to debate over numerous items to buy, but as a lover of lip gloss I knew it would always be one of them. I had used the Rimmel Vinyl lipgloss in the past and thought it was fab so I decided to give the stay glossy lipgloss a try.

      - Packaging -

It comes in in a nice chunky tube which is transparent to see the lipgloss inside with a silver lid which inside is attached a nice decent spongey wand as an applicator. It has silver swirly writing vertically on the side which highlights "stay glossy" and that it will last for up to 6 hours. It looks really nice and attractive, and not like a basic cheap lip gloss brand. Mine is a pale-pinkish colour called always lovely but there are 11 colours in the range to choose from.

      - Application -

Applying the lip gloss is easy, when removing the wand out of the tube it has a mechanism around the rim (similar to mascara) of the tube to remove any excess gloss off the wand so only the amount what is needed on the lips can be applied. I find it glides on really easily and one coat on the bottom lip and then smacking my lips together is an ample amount to cover my lips effectively. It doesn't feel sticky and one sweep across the lips is enough application without my lips feeling overloaded and looking glossy like the tube says!

      - Results -

The consistency of this lip gloss is really nice as it is not thick and sloppy but comes out nicely. The USP of this lipgloss is that it says it lasts for up to 6 hours and it really does! I tend to have quite dry lips and am usually fluctuating between using vaseline/lipgloss/lip balm etc but for my last night out this weekend gone I applied this before leaving the house, and really didn't need to top it up all night! I of course sipped numerous spirits and mixers and glasses of wine and it didn't budge although it did slightly leave traces on straws and rims of glasses...oops!

I think I have quite big lips but surprisingly I really like this gloss and it doesn't make my lips look too pouty and protruding. It gives my lips and the excellent colour which is a nice alternative to lipstick on a night out. I don't find it too sticky or greasy, so it really ticks all boxes.

      - Overall -

I really like this lipgloss and from superdrug it costs £6.29 (when not bought on offer) which I think is a fab price. The colour looks great, and it lasts hours without need for re-application. It gets a big thumbs up from me and I give this gloss 5 out of 5 :)

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      a great lip gloss

I love trying out new make up and especially love buying new lipsticks and glosses. I came across this Rimmel Stay Glossy Lip gloss at my birthday, I decided to treat myself to it with some extra birthday money that I had left over because a few of my friends had tried it and really liked it and I quite liked the All Night Long shade.

      Colours Available
This lip gloss comes in quite a good range of colours, there are some lovely shades of pink available, more rosy/red shades and even a lovely orange shade that would be lovely in the summer. I bought the All Night Long shade which is a lovely deep berry like pink shade.

      Application
This lip gloss is really easy to apply, it has a lovely texture to it that glides over my lips nicely. I find that this lip gloss goes on quite evenly and the little wand applicator is really nicely shaped to fit the shape of my lips.

      What I Thought
This lip gloss has quite good pigmentation and the colour comes out really nicely on my lips, it looks quite vibrant and makes my lips look fuller.
I really like the texture of this lip gloss and think that it is quite good quality because it does not dry my lips out when I have worn it for a long time throughout the day. This is great as lip glosses usually have a really drying effect on me and I find it quite hard to find one that is suitable for me to wear.
This lip gloss does last for quite a long time throughout the day and I don't have to constantly reapply it when I am wearing it, however it doesn't last the 6 hours that it advertises to last.

      Price and Availability
You can buy this lip gloss in Boots for around £4.30, also it is available quite regularly on 3 for 2 offers, so it is a good idea to keep an eye out for these on offer.

      Overall
I really liked this lip gloss, it looks great on my lips, has a really nice texture and does not dry out my lips. The only problem I have is that it does not meet it claims of lasting for 6 hours, but I didn't really expect it to for the price. Overall I would give this lip gloss 4 out of 5 stars.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A nice looking lip gloss but not a long lasting one

I am more of a lipstick girl than a lip gloss one. Part of the reason is that I like the fact lipsticks tend to last longer and feel nicer on the lips to me. I do like the look of gloss though and I am often tempted to try a new colour when I see one. I don't mean I want anything purple or orange but I am always looking for something that looks natural but adds a nice amount of colour. I decided to try Rimmel's Stay Glossy Lip gloss because it promised to last up to 6 hours. I didn't realistically expect it to last quite that long based on my experiences with other products, but I didn't expect it to be quite so poor either...

      THE PRODUCT

Stay Glossy isn't a new range and is widely available from the likes of Superdrug and Boots. I bought it in Boots with my Advantage card points - it would have cost £6.29 otherwise. There are currently 12 shades available covering a good range of pinks and reds and I was really impressed by how many pretty colours there were. Many looked fresh and summery and after much debating I opted for 540 Timeless Allure which is a subtle raspberry pink. [I am not sure about the allure bit!]

Rimmel say that advanced patented technology {!} will help the gloss last up to 6 hours of "fabulously polished perfection." The technological marvels don't stop there as there is also a trademarked design applicator which is supposed to be optimised for "speed and accuracy". Lastly there is a "complex" of cotton and silk which is supposed to aid increased lip moisturisation. I do find that some of the long lasting gloss are a little drying I used often so this also attracted me to the Rimmel gloss over others.

      MIRACULOUS APPLICATION?

The Stay Glossy gloss are in the form of a mascara like tube with an applicator wand attached to lid. I do prefer these now as I don't really like the squeezy tube kind as I find them a bit less accurate to apply. It doesn't look that different from any other gloss tube really, it is has a shiny silver lid and a clear body which helps you to clearly see the product colour. The major difference is supposed to be the applicator inside. It is quite large and looks like a wedge shaped glue spreader to me. When I use it I am not overwhelmed by how revolutionary it is supposed to be. In fact at first I thought the large size actually made it a bit harder to use as I had to keep my mouth open wider to avoid the brush messing the lower lip when I was applying the gloss to the top. I got used to it soon enough but I don't feel that it makes much difference to how fast or accurate I can apply the gloss. The colour goes on smoothly but I have never really found that gloss takes a long time to put in anyway.

      STAY GLOSSY?

The initial finish is lovely. It is glossy obviously, but a more delicate and subtle sheen than some. It doesn't look too "wet" if that makes sense. I love the colour I chose and would happily wear it as an everyday gloss and whenever I want my make up to look "finished" but still natural. It is a bit paler than I would normally wear for evenings out but that's just me and I could of course opt for a different shade for then. The pigmentation is good so I would feel confident with opting for something more intense. In the tube, the gloss looked a little shimmery and I wasn't sure that I would like that but it is scarcely noticeable once on, unless you look really closely. I also like the light feel of it which reminds me of wearing a non greasy lip balm more than anything. I don't feel as if my lips are going to stick together which is always a plus.

So there is many good things to report until it comes to the "up to 6 hours" claim for how long the gloss lasts. The first problem is that it is not transfer proof in the slightest. Most glosses aren't to be fair, but how many people can manage to last 6 hours without eating or drinking? The real trouble for me is that it doesn't last well even if I am not eating. In fact the colour fades within 2-3 hours if I am lucky. It isn't much trouble to re-apply but I feel the result is disappointing for a product sold on the fact it lasts a long time. It goes without saying that it is easy to remove if you are fortunate to have any colour on your lips at the end of the day. My lips also don't feel dried out after using it which is good considering how often I re-apply it.

      WOULD I RECOMMEND THE GLOSS?

If the gloss didn't come with the claim it would last up to 6 hours, I would rate it higher. But as that is one of the main selling points, I do feel it should last longer. I could pay less for any number of glosses that can last a couple of hours on a good day after all. If you don't mind constantly re-applying, I would say buy this as otherwise it is a good quality product with a good colour and finish. If the long lasting effect was the main selling point for you, I wouldn't recommend this. Personally I am not going to replace my tube now it is nearly run out.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Ok, put off by the stickyness

Stay Glossy, now there is a claim just waiting to be blown out of the water.....challenge accepted.

I bought these on a whim (I do that a lot) online from a place I have only just recently heard of xtras-online.co.uk They sell make up cheaper than most shops and it is the bane of my life. I see so many bargains that I just can't resist, sorry other half :). Normally these are on sale in Boots eyc for around the £6 mark, I paid £1.99 from extras-online.

The thing I first liked about these is the shape of the tube is different, the lid is sliver with an hourglass shape to it, this makes it more interesting to look at and hold in fact. The bottom section is clear so you can see the gloss within. There are some very pretty shades of this gloss and there are about 12 colours in the range. There is the usual sponge applicator which I detest but overall it does its job well and is ok to use. It is slanted on one side so it makes application easier, you do have to wipe off the excess though sometimes.

The colours range from light 'non-stop glamour' through the shimmering pinks and browns to a couple of quite garish pink and orange shades. Endless night (light brown) and Captivate me (red/plum) were my first choice although I did also buy all day seduction as well which is a light pink. The colours are very pretty and subtle, they have a lot of shimmer to them and they do last a good few hours. The claim however is 6 hours and I do not think it quite matches that. I would say 2 at the most I'm afraid Rimmel.

If you want high colour then you need to find another product, a slight disadvantage of this also it the fact it does go a little bit tacky if you don't re-apply it. It isn't a nice feeling to have on your lips but after re-applying it, the tackiness goes away.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A lovely lips product which makes the lips glossy, shimmering and pretty

I wear lipstick very often as I'm not sure if it suits me or not. I also think that my lips are too plain without anything at all and so I normally fall back on lip glosses. My latest purchase was the Stay Glossy Lip Gloss by Rimmel.

      What does the product do?
The product promises to give the lips a long lasting glossy finish while also gives the lips a nice shape. It claims that it will leave your lips shiny for up to 6 hours and to also pamper your lips with cotton and silk to leave your lips conditioned and healthy. It also leaves the lips looking pretty and eye catching.

      Available Shades
There are quite a few shades to choose between although most of them are pink shades. I chose the Always Lovely shade which is a pretty baby pink colour. Each shade comes with a lovely name such as My Eternity, Endless Night and Stay My Rose. There is a even a black shade called Black Diva for the braver among us.

      Packaging and Price
The product comes contained within a see through tube and you can clearly see the colour of the gloss inside. It is plastic and it has a silver screw top lid which has a slight dent in the middle to allow you to hold the gloss easily. The wand is attached to the lid and it is thick and spongy with a slightly pointed edge which allows you to apply the gloss with precision.

The product will cost you around £6 and it can be bought from stores such as Boots and Superdrug, large supermarkets and also from a variety of online websites.

      Application and Performance
The product doesn't have a very nice smell. The aroma is like that of glue and although you can smell it a bit as you apply the product, it doesn't linger and it shouldn't put you off the product. The product is very glossy but the spongy wand allows you to apply the gloss to the lips precisely. The wand doesn't pull or drag the lips and a lot of the gloss goes on the lips with just one application. It has a very thick and gooey consistency which definitely makes the lips glossy. The colour is sheer and you can still see the colour of your lips underneath but the gloss gives your lips a prettier shade of pink.

The gloss is really shimmery and it is almost glittery so it won't be to everyone's liking. It's not really very classy but it is fun and I like it for a night time look. I wouldn't wear it to work. It feels completely comfortable on my lips and it hasn't caused me any irritations. The gloss is particularly sticky although you have to expect this to some extent. It does stay on the lips for a few hours and it can withstand eating and drinking to some extent. When it has been removed, it doesn't leave my lips feeling dry and my lips do seem in quite a good condition.

      Conclusion
All in all, this is a pretty and shiny lip gloss. It gives a sheer yet pretty colour although it is packed with shimmer which may not be to everyone's liking. It makes your lips look eye catching and the results are quite long lasting. If you like a shimmery gloss then this is for you but if you prefer the classy look, you may not appreciate this one.

Rimmel Stay Glossy, a good buy and a great product

Review of Rimmel Stay Glossy Lip Gloss

I like to use lip gloss on days when I am not wearing make-up, just to give my lips a little colour and shine. The subject of this review is Rimmel Stay Glossy Lasting Lip Gloss.
Rimmel indicate that this lip gloss is designed to last up to 6 hours.

      ==**The Lip Gloss**==

I purchased my lip gloss from my local Boots store. The current price is £6.29 which I feel is a little extravagant for a lip gloss, but as Boots had a 3 for 2 on Rimmel cosmetics and I had a Boots voucher to spend, I decided to treat myself.

Rimmel Stay glossy is presented in a clear tube with a sturdy silver screw cap. I think the packaging of this lip gloss is very smart, it looks expensive and quite exclusive. I suppose many people would think of Rimmel as a budget brand, but this lip gloss certainly does not look like a budget buy!

The tube contains 0.18 fl. oz. (5.5ml) of lip gloss. It also bears the company logo, the product name and a brief description of the 6hour staying qualities. I do like lip gloss tubes that are clear as you can see just how much of the product you have left.

The appearance of the lip gloss within the tube is extremely good, the gloss has shimmery particles these reflect the light as you turn the tube.

As with most tubed lip glosses, the spongy applicator is attached to the lid, it is slightly flattened at the end and it tapers a little for easy and precise application. The shape of the applicator is fairly good, but I have known better. I would prefer the applicator to be a little shorter in length and more sculpted.

The colours Rimmel offer in this range is excellent. There are around a dozen varying shades to choose from and these range from pastel, delicate pinks to a dark, dramatic and rather whacky one called 'Black Diva'. I chose shade no 50, 'Endless Summer'. This is a pinky/brown shade which I feel suits my complexion and I am very pleased with it.

The lip gloss goes on smoothly and easily. It is intensely glossy, actually a little too glossy for my taste, but that is just me! The gloss lasts very well, and the colour is good, but is it up to 6 hours? In my experience, no, nowhere near 6 hours! True, I probably chat a lot, I smoke and I drink constant cups of coffee so perhaps I am expecting rather a lot from a lip product. That said I would have expected a little more longevity from a lip gloss costing over £6.

The lip gloss feels good on the lips, it is not sticky or greasy feeling in the way some products can be, neither does it have any particular flavour or taste, it just feels nicely natural.
Rimmel Stay Glossy also seems to be lightly moisturising, which is another plus for Rimmel from me.

      ==**My Thoughts and Conclusion**==

All in all I consider this to be a very good lip gloss. It is a little on the expensive side, but it lasts well, is pleasant to wear and easy to use. The colour range is second to none and I feel there would be something to suit most age ranges and colourings.

The lip gloss definitely does not last up to 6 hours on me, but of course other people's experience may differ. I will definitely look out for special offers on this again and I have noticed in various online stores, the price of this lip gloss in considerably less than the MRP as charged by Boots.

To conclude, I would recommend this lip gloss to others and I am awarding Rimmel Stay Glossy Lip Gloss a 4* rating.

      Thank you for reading

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      I would definitely recommend this.

I love most things about Rimmel's Stay Glossy Lip gloss from the texture, quality and colour.
The colour which I like the most and use often is a light pink, which gives a really great shine and subtle pink colour which is just right! The bottle states that the gloss lasts up to 6 hours, which is a slight exaggeration! It does last quite well once applied, but the longest its lasted for me is about 2 hours, definitely not six!
The bottle has lasted me well, I have had it for a few months and am not running out yet, even though I use it quite often! Its a very good quality product, and because it lasts so long, I think that it is priced very reasonably!
I love the texture, which is smooth and doesn't feel gloopy or stick to your hair, so its great for use no matter where your going or what your doing!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A good lipgloss if you want to invest £5 - 6 on it. Very good quality.

I am a big fan of Rimmel products - in my opinion, they are stylish modern and chich makeup items. This is my faourite lip gloss from Rimmel - I am not a big fan of their Vinyl Gloss at all! Firstly, the packaging of the Stay Glossy lipgloss is rather pretty, and very stylish to have in your handbag. I also love the fact that it has literally loads of shades of lipgloss. My favourite is Stay Rose, which is a pinky colour which works lovely on your lips. The applicator is very impressive too, and I love the sponge idea and the slight tilt it has to it. This allows you to actually scrape the lipgloss out of the tube (in a good way) when there is hardly anything left inside and you want to make the most of it.

The price is quite expensive, at around £6.50 per bottle. I hve found this with many Rimmel products though, that they are a couple of pounds overpriced. I would rather pay around £4.99 for a lipgloss like this. The lipgloss itself is not sticky at all, but glides onto your lips. Some of the colours are quite subtle, whilst others (like the Fuschia shade for example) are very noticable and you only need a tiny bit. The whole concept of the "Stay Glossy" is quite good, as they actually do do that, as they claim to. I think they are supposed to stay glossy for around 5 - 6 hours, but you have to keep reapplying it every 1 - 2 hours or so.

Overall, they are slighty overpriced for what they are, but the lipgloss is very good quality, and if I didn't already mention, they also smell and taste pretty good too!! Worth spending your money on if you can find it online for a cheaper price in my opinion.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

I can't gloss over the fact that this doesn't come close to the 6hr claims.

I was going to rate this product highly, but now I have to downgrade it to the middle of the pack, after seeing what else is on the market on this budget, and for not living up to the six hour claim. This review will be for the colour Endless Night (720)

      The Packaging

A curvy tube, with a clear section where the lip gloss is with silver detail. The curve of the lid allows your hand to naturally grip when applying. The crown on the end is a nice touch, adds to the 'London look'. Overall I think this is a really modern looking lip gloss, and I don't feel ashamed pulling it out of my make-up bag to apply the product.

      The Product

It has a nice 'cosmetics' smell, and is easy to apply thanks to the double sided sponge applicator. It picks up product well and is large enough to cover quickly without ending up with gloss all over your face. On the lips it feels really nice, not sticky at all, if anything a little slippy, and could easily be removed with a tissue.

In the tube Endless Night is a nudey brown with a touch of pink, when I swatch it is glossy without looking wet. The colour is very sheer with a nude tinge, with no unnatural looking glitter, which I hate in a lipgloss. So, if you want a pigmented lip gloss this isn't it, it's very natural. I often wear this product during the day, or when wearing looks that involve dramatic eye make up, so my lips look healthy, without screaming 'look at me'.

My main issue is the 'up to six hours last and shine lip gloss'. The term 'up to' seems to give companies the license to stick in any figure that they want. I think the true figure is more like 1-2 hours of normal wear. Maybe six hours could be achieved if you didn't move your lips in six hours, but I still think this questionable.

      Stockists and Price

So Rimmel is one of those 'drugstore brands' that will be widely available in stores such as Boots and Superdrug, along with some supermarkets. I normally associate this brand with cheap and cheerful products; well this one is cheerful but at no means cheap for a 5.5ml tube at £6.29 (Source: Boots). I bought this one over a year ago, and must have paid less, if not I would have never have bought it. In fact per product weight I would expect this one to be way cheaper than the likes of L'Oreal and Revlon.

So to compare value with its competitors I always use the price per volume, to work out what is good value for money, as who cares about carrying around an extra ml or two. So here are prices of lip-glosses that I class in the low-mid range of cosmetics.

      Rimmel (Endless Night) - £13/ 10ml

Just to put it in context with high end my current gold standard is Estee Lauder - £24/10ml

      Bourjois 3D Effect - £14 /10ml
      L'Oreal - £14/ 10ml
      Revlon - £15/ 10ml
      No. 7 Ultra Shine - £15/ 10ml

All of a sudden Endless Night isn't the bargain I thought it was. If you can't afford the EL, out of the lipglosses above I'd choose the No. 7 Ultra Shine. Compared to Endless Night it has superior lasting power and pigmentation, plus nourishing vitamins and SPF 15.

Overall a nice, sheer lip gloss; if a little pricey.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

A shimmery gloss that looks good when first applied but doesn't last as promised!

This range of lip glosses is currently priced at £6.29 from Boots for 5.5ml. There are 11 colours to choose from baby pink to fuschia pink, burgundy, browns etc.
I usually wear very pale pink or clear lip gloss but fancied a bit of a change and opted for 'all night long' which looked like a very dark pink, almost burgundy colour in the packaging.

The lip gloss comes in a 5.5ml transparent glass tube with a rather large silver screw top handle. The handle / lid is a good size to aid in the application of the gloss and it also has a slightly indented area for you to put your finger and thumb in the area, again a good help in applying it as so often lip glosses have very flimsy, hard to handle tops.
The applicator is spongy, starting off at the top quite thick, going downwards into a flatter section at the tip.

        - What is it and what does it promise? -

Up to 6 hours of last and shine lip gloss.
Delivers style, shape and shine with a new formula.
Pampers lips with a complex of cotton and silk for increased moisturisation.
The innovative applicator is designed for ultimate speed and accuracy.

        - My Experience -
This is quite a thick gloss when it comes out of the tube and looking at it on the sponge applicator. It is very easy to apply but can feel a little sticky when first applied though when you rub your mouth together, the sticky feeling soon disappears.

Although this looked like quite a dark colour in the tube, when put on my mouth it is a lot lighter which is fine by me as I usually opt for lighter colours anyway although the 'change' that I fancied, didn't really happen! The gloss gives a lovely shiny appearance to my mouth with very small flecks of sparkle / shimmer on, not too much that it can only be worn on an evening, just the right amount for day or evening wear.
So does it last 6 hours?
In short, not for me..... I have real problems getting any lip gloss to stay on for any length of time, especially if I am having a drink with it on. It doesn't leave an unsightly lipstick mark around the top of a glass but it does need regular applying so the advanced technology that it promises really doesn't work for me.

Despite this, I still like the lip gloss as it is easy to apply and gives a lovely shiny look to my lips.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          A great lip gloss!

I like Rimmel products so when I came across this lip gloss on a special 3 for two offers I decided to purchase it to give it a try. I purchased the shades endless night and all night long they are a little similar and are both lovely deeps shades of pink which I really like. The gloss is the same colour that shows on the bottle when you put it on but a little lightly so it is not so intense.

          ==The product==

This comes in a see through bottle which I like as it means you can easily see just how much of the product is left and when you may need to replace it. The lid which of course is also the applicator handle is a good size so you can get a grip of it easily and is easy to control the movements across your lips. I find the applicator head to be nice and soft and the perfect shape to run across my lips. It also picks up a decent amount of the product without overloading your lips with the product and the shape makes it easy to cover your lips in one swipe. It is not too large and convenient to carry around in your handbag if you wish and as the tube itself looks fairly attractive and does not wear badly even after being thrown around in my handbag I would happily use this product in public without worrying about the tube looking tired.

          ==In use==

It is simple to twist and pull the applicator over your lips it is a little curved for easier application and it literally takes seconds until your lips are completely covered in the gloss. It does feel a little wet and heavy at first but after a minute it dry's a little feeling more comfortable yet the gloss is still highly noticeable. I like to apply this a little before I leave the house as I find it does dull down a little in the first half an hour but not in a bad way it just looks a little more subtle than when you first apply the product.

What I like about this lip gloss is that it looks glossy and leaves a lovely sheen finish but it does not just look like my lips are wet. The colour shows through very easily without being too much and making me looks like a clown it is a nice and subtle but definitely noticeable. Another thing I really like about this gloss is it is not too sticky and this is a real advantage for me as that is the main reason I do not wear glosses that often I find them heavy on the lips and irritatingly sticky. This can be worn and forgotten about a few minutes after application yet it is still viable. The lip gloss lasts rather well unless I put this on in the morning and then about midday I top it up again then this will last until the end of the day when I remove my makeup it does fade away but is still visible. If you are going to be eating and drinking a lot it will of course fade a lot quicker but other than that it only needs topped up every few hours. There is a slight scent but this disappears once on your lips and if you manage to end up licking your lips it is not a revolting taste but certainly not pleasant either.

          ==Summary==

I would recommend this lip gloss I am not sure about the 6 hour stay claim but it certainly does last longer than most other lip glosses I have tried. It is neither heavy on the lips nor sticky and there is a wide range of colours so anyone should be able to find a shade that suits them. This lip gloss retails at around £6 which is a fair price for quality of this lip gloss I feel but do shop around to try and find it on promotion if possible. The tube lasts me a very long time and when my current tube runs out I will be purchasing another.
