“ Brand: Ruby and Millie / Type: Concealer „
I find it hard to find a concealer that doesn't hit either Casper the Ghost, or Katie Price in terms of colour. That's ivory or orange. Ivory...or orange.
Surely there had to be some middle ground?
I came across this after Boots gave me a £5 off Ruby and Millie voucher, so with too many nail varnishes and lipglosses, I plumped for this concealer. I am very, very glad I did.
Now i use concealer every day, and this has been a charm.
My skin is far from perfect, but I fool people. This comes in a small futuristic pot that slides out from itself, and comes with two shades, divided up.
This is obviously fantastic for 2 reasons- 1_ season change and varying lighting - e.g A nightclub and the office, and 2) the different flaws we ladies like to cover- be it a garish spot or big ol' bags.
With these two colours, one tinted red and the other tinted yellow, you can blend and mix your dream shade, lend it to friends, even use the darker shade to contour and use as a hint of colour in an emergency- whatever you need.
I also go a bit red lipped when hungover- a dash of this and some lipgloss in nude, and i'm back to my less vampire-ish self.
A fantastic buy- well worth a shot for anyone tired or Ivory....Or Orange.
Ruby and Millie concealer comes in a round case, like the eyesahdows and blusher. There are four different packs of concealer, in each one is two shades, one for your skin tone, one slightly lighter for the under eye area. The concealers are yellow based, and look very "skin" colured, rather than pinky or orangey like a lot of cheap concealers. However, I did have a problem choosing a colour because the difference between 1+2 and 3+4 are very slight. The shop asistant wasn't a tremendous help "well it's whatever shade you prefer....." no, its whatever shade suits my skin, dear. You have to dip your finger into the pot, which is a bit unhygenic and there aren't any applicators to go with it. The texture is nice and smooth, it goes on well and dries nicely. It wouldnt work for very heavy blemishes though. Warning, the colurs are paler than they look - I bought the 1+2 concealer and although ti does blend in nicely it still seems a bit pale, even though in the tub it looks right. Not a bad buy though.
