I bought this eyeliner a while back when I had a free £5 Ruby and Millie voucher from Boots. The eyeliner itself comes in a long and thin pencil, alot longer than most other branded eyelines I have used, which makes you feel as though you are getting more for your money. The pencil is quite expensive and 'classy' looking, it is cream with a silver tip and a plastic silver lid, with Ruby and Millie printed down the side. The eyeliner is very soft which makes it really easy to apply to the skin, it simply glides on and I only need to go over the line once to get a good dark coverage. My only criticism here is that it is so soft it often struggles to stay in place and smudges or wears away easily so it needs to be re-applied throughout the day. As it is so soft the pencil also wears down quite quickly so it doesnt last as long as you expect it to, despite it being longer than other eye liners. The only other downside to this eyeliner is the price - at £9 I find it to be extortionatly expensive, and I would never normally pay this for an eyeliner. The only reason I bought it was because I had a £5 voucher, but even at £4 I found it quite expensive. Despite this it is a great eyeliner, it is really smooth and soft and easily applied, and it gives you a lovely rich and soft colour around your eyes, it doesnt irritate at all and is easy to get off with make-up remover or facial wipe. Overall I would recommend it, but only if it is on sale or you have a money off voucher, otherwise you can find just as good eyeliners out there for a fraction of the price.
I bought this item as a treat with the £5 voucher I recieved from Boots; I have previously bought Ruby and Millie products and have found them to be of the highest quality standard and this eyeliner was fabulous! I bought the eyeliner for £4.50, but at full price it is £9.50, but worth every penny. The eyeliner is packaged in the clean, creamy white packaging which, is distinctive of this brand, with a silver coloured cap to protect the nib of the eyeliner pencil. The eyeliner is available in a variety of different colours: black, grey, brown, white, blue and green. There is a colour to compliment all skin tones and eye colours. The pencil itself is smooth and creamy and this aids easy application and enables you to draw straight and smooth lines to define and shape your eyes; this 'look' opens up your eyes and aids a dramatic look. The eyeliner can also be smudged to create a more informal look or to make the eyes have a smoky effect. This pencil is available from most of the larger Boots beauty retailers, a bit disappointed when I went into my local Boots in Blackburn and they did not stock these products, I have to buy Ruby and Millie products from their Preston store. This product is brought to you by a trusted and reputable brand and there products are of the highest standard
Ruby & Millie Eye Liner £9.50 at Boots but I used my No7/Ruby & Millie £5 off voucher so only cost me £4.50 which is pretty good for an eyeliner The pencil is very plain and stylish looking and its a very long cream pencil with Ruby & Millie written in black down the side. The pencil comes in the following colours: Black, Grey, Brown, Green, Blue and white I purchased the black as I really like dark eye make-up. When opening the silver lid the pencil is very soft and dark looking and when you touch the end of the pencil its really soft and creamy, which is exactly what the product is advertised as - being soft and creamy. I really like this product. I feel it is really easy to use and seems to just glide on. However, I only use this product on the top of my lashes as I feel it is quite soft so applying to bottom lashes is quite difficult and seems to wear away quite easily. Another problem is that the eyeliner is so soft so wears down really easily so need to keep sharpening it. I don't think this eyeliner is too thick but then again I use it only for the top lashes and to create a smoky eye look. I would definitely recommend this product and when I got another £5 off voucher went down and bought another one as my current one is nearly finished.
Sorry i completly disagree with you but i put my eyeliner above my lower lashes and find this the best i've ever used. The pencil's very soft which makes its stay on. It beats any one i've tried and i've tried some of the well known expensive brands thinking they'd be better. The colours very rich and being so soft it just glides on without draging your eyes. Just thought i would let you know my opinion on this eyeliner as i think it's the best by far and well worth trying.
I don't know about you but when I purchase something from a range I haven't tired before and it's magnificent it really makes me a fan and I want to buy everything on offer from a range. Well that happened to me with Ruby & Millie products after purchasing the face gloss and fell in love with it! So off I went to Boots as a woman on a mission to buy a new eyeliner and I knew it had to be by this brand, nothing less would do! The Packaging.... It's a long white pencil with silver push on/pull off silver lid at one end then at the other a cap lid which if you pull off you can see the 'raw' pencil. I'm sure this is just in case for any reason you want to sharpen that end as well, but why? I don't know lol. Then on the front in small silver writing it simply says Ruby & Millie. That's it. Very simple. Then if you look closely at the cap I've just mentioned there is a little sticker on it with tiny white writing on there telling me it's eye liner, blue/black, contact details for Ruby & Millie and that it's made in Italy. If you pull this sticker off your left with a very sophisticated looking pencil indeed. What Ruby & Millie Say About This Product.... Eye up a dramatic new look. Use this soft and creamy formulation to shape and define your eyes. You can apply your eyeliner to create a dramatic effect, creating the illusion that your eyelashes are thicker, or soften the look by blending or smudging. My Experience.... Firstly the pencil is a really nice long length, and longer than most standard eye liners so at £9.00 per pencil it seems alot compared to many on the market but I do feel that your not paying for the brand here but the larger size. Now you do have to sharpen this pencil but if you sharpen around the 'nib' the wood is very light in colour and very smooth. Personally I have had to sharpen mine and I do advise a decent sharpener should be used but it is very easy and it sharpens quickly. Now for the bad news. I hate it. It's awful to apply and it's horrible on! Now believe me I say that with such disdain. I mean I paid the full price for this as a treat for myself and I'm gutted about it! Firstly I've tried to use this more than once. I apply after foundation to my eyes before or after eyeshadow, sometimes both. This is thick and like using a crayloa crayon. Let me clarify. It's the size and shape of a pencil. I have a point to draw with. However that snaps off! So I use it a little blunter. As I use it its going on so thick that it continues to get more blunt and we are only talking about drawing an outline on one eye! It's thick and slightly moist but then it kind of dries up and I find I'm dragging my eyes. It says no smudging but it does that as well as I'm trying to apply. Once on eyes they feel heavy and laden with eye make up and definitely not defined in any way shape of form. I use eyeliner close to my top rim as possible going into my eyelashes but the bottom rim, I unlike most people don't apply it in the rim (next to eye) but draw it underneath (I hope you get me). I find it goes on 'feathery' rather than defined. Now not putting it 'in' my eyes you'd think at least it didn't irritate them? Well you'd be wrong. Yes I do have fairly sensitive eyes but this was beyond a joke. I went to a bar with a friend for an evening out. All was ok for the first hour and then my eyes felt really grubby and I kept blinking and my friend said are you ok. I said I'm not sure if it's my eye make up or I feel tired cos my eyes felt so heavy. I went to the ladies and looked in the mirror and my eyes had gone terribly blood shot and when I examined my eyeballs all black bits were in them! To cut a long story short I had to tell my mate and go home my eyes really were sore. As soon as I got in make up was easy to remove but all the skin around my eyes felt dry and a bit puffy. Next day eyes were really puffy indeed and where I'd tried to remove the eyeliner I hadn't got it all off cos it hurt whilst trying to do that and some was left laced in my eyelashes and I had huge lids where they looked all puffed out and other people asked if I was ok! Overall.... Absolutely dreadful. The colour was nice the consistency bloody awful and just one of the worst eyeliners I have ever used! I just found the pencil hard to control and easy to blunt and nothing apart from the colour was nice. I can't recommend it. It goes to show you should never be seduced by a rage of cosmetics just cos they have one item that you like! I'll never buy this one again and stick to me cheapy ones that achieve better results lol Available from Boot's Blue/Black (my colour) Brown/Black £9.00 per pencil
