When it comes to foundation, I think they all now come up against the Bare Minerals benchmark, as I've found it such a revelation, but before my discovery of Bare Minerals, Ruby & Millie's base was my foundation of choice. At £15.17 from Boots for a large bottle (£50.57 per 100ml), it's a mid-priced foundation, on a par price-wise with a brand like Maxfactor, but the results it achieves are far superior. The bottle itself is lovely and classy looking - a heavy glass cylinder with a silver top and a nice strip of glass topping the lid. I have tried lots of different brands of foundation, & was very happy with this one. The foundation itself wasn't overley cheap, but didn't find it really expensive & definetly thought it was worth the money. The first time I tried it, I didn't find it particularly heavy or sticky & found that it blended really well & lasted for several hours. It has a nice texture also on my skin & think that it blends easily without appearing orange or over the top, or leave any 'tide marks'! Out of the many foundations I have tried this by far the best one! I've tried everything from the very cheapest available, right up to the high priced premium and designer brands. Ruby and Millie falls somewhere between these two categories, coming in at a mid-high range price and being recognised as being a make up artists foundation whilst not being quite so prestige as say MAC for example. Performance wise it is above and beyond the higher price brands I have tried, including Elizabeth Arden and Calvin Klein, it really outshines them in every way.
