Yet again I am writing another Sainsbury's review about their basic's range of products. I've tried food and drinks and now I'm starting to switch and save money on my household, cleaning and beauty products.
I'm going to start with Sainsbury's basic's cotton wool pads. Priced at only 54pence for a pack of 100 i thought this was a bargain. And to be honest i wasn't expecting them to be very good at all.
The cotton wool buds come in a tube shaped plastic bag which have string ties at the top, so once you have opened the packet you can easily pull the strings away from each other to close the pack. This stops any fluids, dust or dirt getting into the packet and damaging the contents inside.
The cotton wool pads them self are soft to the touch and aren't bitty. I use mine to remove my make -up at the end of every day. I use a very small amount of my make-up remover on the pad and it gently and smoothly gilds across my skin and doesn't leave any pieces of the cotton wool pad attached to my skin.
On a few occasions the pads have stuck together and have split a few in half but this has only happened once or twice. In my eyes this doesn't really matter as the product was so cheap to start with, it's not like I'm throwing my money away.
Overall this is a great start to my switching and saving with Sainsbury's in the health and beauty department.
Yet again another success for the Sainsbury's basic's range. I would recommend changing to this cheaper version and pocketing the extra pennies you save.
