The Sally Hansen Diamond Shine Top & Base Coat is available for GBP 8.69.
The top coat is described as follows. "Diamond base coat leaves a smooth, ultra-hard surface to lock on colour for up to 10 days. Diamond top coat delivers a brilliant multi-faceted diamond shine. Both coats in one dual-purpose bottle. Quick-dry and smudge-proof formula protects nail colour against chipping. Dries to the touch in under a minute."
The top coat is located in a semi-circular, silver bottle whose surface reflects. In black closure for screwing course is the brush. Buyer the bottle is packed in an outer packaging of cardboard. When the brush is an average slim model that receives the paint very well and releases it again. With such brushes I'm personally cope best. This paint can be spread easily due to its consistency and does not form streaks. Subsequently, the paint dries in fact within a short time. I was among the first uses really very surprised, because that has not yet managed to paint as a fourth layer. Normally I have to wait for hours until the paint looks so solid and the next morning, I then nevertheless again stripes on the nails. So here's the acid test: painted nails at night, waited 15 minutes and then off to bed to sleep - in this varnish absolutely no problem. In addition, this coating ensures a properly smooth and stable surface, so he sealed the paint color really. The result is a very noble and intense shine. My expensive paints already possess per se, although a very nice sheen, but this coating can itself here for even minimal care more shine without distorting the color per se. The durability of the paint I can not complain too, so I could let him velvet color paint over a week on the nails. Of course, the abrasion resistance of the ink varnish is extremely improved by these top coat and this then leaves no traces.
I have found out over the years that most 2 in 1 nail products that promise to be a base and top coat all rolled in to one are pretty useless with the exception being Sally Hansen Diamond Shine which is actually really good and my preferred top and base coat.
It isn't the cheapest as it costs £8.69 from Boots but it really is worth paying the extra for it as it is such a good product and it really does work well.
It is a clear polish that promises to seal the nail surface with diamond particles and leave it rock hard for the nail colour to grip to and to protect nails and intensify the colour and leave it with a shiny surface.
This goes on really smoothly to my nails and once it is dry really does make a great base on which to put colour on top. With most nail base products I actually find that the colour polish is more difficult to apply as it always seems to be a bit grainy and the colour always seems to not go on very smooth. With this on my nails the colour just glides on my nails and I usually only ever need one coat of polish.
As a top coat it works wonder in making my nails super shiny and the colour really is intensified. It also really does strengthen the colour and makes chipping it really unlikely as they feel rock solid.
I also like to use this after a manicure as it really does help my nails to look their best for ages afterwards and stop them from splitting as there is nothing worse than going to the salon and spending a fortune only for your nails to split afterwards.
I don't use this on a daily basis with my nail polish only because I am lazy and can't be bothered spending the time to apply it and the colour but I always make sure and use it if I know that I am not going to be able to take off my polish and reapply it on a daily basis because I know that this will make it last and look its best for as long as possible without chipping and becoming scabby looking.
I also tend to use this when I am putting on a nail colour that has glitter in it as this stops the colour from being gritty and also helps seal in the colour and glitter.
It is also really quick drying so that when I do have to use it I know that although it is a faff having to put on a base then colour then this again that at least it isn't going to take me all night to do.
Although expensive I would definitely say this is worth the money. A little goes a long way and it really does help improve the look of your nails while wearing polish.
