      Disadvantages

      Worth the buy.. Shop around..

I first tried this pen out when I borrowed it from my mum, it's definitely worth buying.

The tip of the pen is protected by a simple cover, easy on and off. A simple twist at the opposite side of the pen will distribute the amount you need, one twist will cover all your nails. It's an easy application, glides over cuticles, or if you want all of your nails. It's a small soft brush. The liquid drys very quickly, doesn't leave your nails sticky, no residue at all. You can apply as much and as frequently as you want, once a week is enough, or if you paint your nails, apply after you use nail polish remover then just after you apply nail polish. Sometimes using a cheaper kind of nail polish remover can break and create flakey nails, applying after use stops this. Leaves a great shine and you can really notice the difference - softer, smoother edges.

The price for the product is great, but that should be no more that £5, some places can be £3 - £4 - Bargin. BUT BEWARE, some shops, online can charge as much as £7, £8, don't pay this, it can be gotten for much cheaper, look around.

Very easy item to carry around with you.

Will also last for months and the brush doesn't dry out =)

      Overall great for healthy nails.

Perfect for dry or cracked nails.

I absolutely adore my Sally Hansen maximum growth pen and don't know where I would be without it! It is jam packed full of some of the most fortifying, nourishing and strengthening ingredients known to man including vitamins C, A and E. As well as fluoride, the stuff that makes your teeth stronger helps strengthen your nails to. It is marketed as a cuticle treatment, but I consider it more of a nail treatment.

It comes in an easy to use and cute pink pen with a built in applicator brush for precision application. At the far end is a twist feature which allows you to get the exact amount of product you need. I find it's design to be very efficient and mess free and it fits into my bag without taking up tons of room.

So after using it for several weeks (it becomes quite therapeutic) I have noticed a huge difference in my nails. My cuticles are nourishes and any dry skin has completely disappeared. Also my nails grow much quicker and stronger too. I love this pen and recommend it to all my friends.

A brilliant product for dry nails or cuticles

I have been buying these nail pens for years and now wouldn't be without one. They cost around £5, but I've noticed they can often be found cheaper in discount stores.

They say that this cuticle treatment in a unique no-mess, no-spill pen nourishes dry, rough cuticles. It is fortified with fluoride, vitamins E, A, C, pro-vitamin B5 and aloe to help hydrate, nourish and seal in moisture to end dry, dull, brittle nails, giving you healthy looking cuticles and nails instantly.

It comes in a pink pen with a clear lid which just pulls off. At one end of the pen is the brush, and at the other is a twist section, you just twist it to get some of the product out into the brush, just like with a concealer pen. The brush is great for precise application on the cuticles, and the no-mess, no-spill claim is certainly true. You only need to turn the pen for a couple of clicks to get enough of the product onto the brush (except for the first time you use it, when you'll need to turn it for what seems like forever to get it to start flowing), and if you turn it too many times then you will get too much and it will start to drip everywhere.

You can choose to either just use it on your cuticles or on the whole of your nail as well. If you choose to do the whole of your nail it's very easy to just brush it on in the same way you would paint on a nail polish.

The product itself is like a cuticle oil, so it does feel quite oily and greasy, and it has that familiar almondy orangey scent that you get with most cuticle oils. The brush, as long as you haven't overloaded it by twisting it too many times, delivers just the right amount of the oil so that you don't end up with big blobs of the stuff on your nails, you just get a nice even layer wherever you decide to use it. I usually find the amount that's on the brush from turning just a couple of clicks is easily enough to do 5 nails, so I can do one hand, turn it a couple more clicks, and do the other.

Once you've got the oil on your nails you'll need to gently massage it in. This doesn't take long and it's just making sure that the oil is sinking in where it's needed. Once you've massaged it in any oiliness that was there disappears as the oil sinks into your cuticles and nails.

When I first started using this my nails were in pretty bad shape, especially the cuticles, which were ragged and dry and had bits peeling off them and just generally looked awful. After using this every day for a couple of weeks they were looking much healthier, all the ragged, dry edges had started to repair themselves, and they didn't look so bad. After a month using it my cuticles actually looked normal again, in fact I'd go as far as to say they looked perfect. My nails had also got back some well needed moisture and they were no longer looking dry and brittle.

I still use this all the time, and it helps to keep my nails and cuticles in perfect condition. I don't use it every day, but I do keep in in my handbag to use any time my cuticles look as though they need a bit of care and attention, and it always makes them look instantly better. It does run out fairly quickly if you're using it every day, but once you've got your nails back in shape you shouldn't need to use it every day, so then it will last a lot longer. All in all I think it's a really great product and I wouldn't be without it.
