Advantages: So easy to use
Disadvantages: Vanity- I love my new nails
A while ago and for the for the first time, I tried a growth product for nails. My nails were ok, but they had never grown to a length that I was truly happy with. But I had entered a competition to win a holiday and was lucky enough to get a runners up prize, a Sally Hansen Goody Bag.
So it was free and I might as well try it.
The proof is in my nails, I now have longer nails and they are also strong and they don't split. I am a strong believer that what is inside you effects your outside more than any lotions and potions, but I cannot deny that since using this product my nails have lengthened and improved.
The only other person I know who made a dramatic change to her nails was a girl I used to work with, she started eating a cube of jelly every day- but I am a veggie- so that option was an undesirable proposition.
I used to apply the nail treatment once a week, although the recommendation is every five days. It looks and is applied just like a clear nail polish. You can either just apply one coat and leave it at that or apply one coat as a base coat and then apply a final coat over your polish. Now that my nails are ok- I just use as a base coat occasionally-( for occasionally-read when I remember!).
I have checked out the current price in Boots and it is £4.16 (at the time of writing also on a buy one get one half price deal). It lasts as long as a normal polish and so I consider it very good value for money.
If you have long, beautiful and strong nails- fine- but if like me your nals were shorter and prone to break -I would recommend it.
No one ever commented on my nails before- now I receive compliments- that to me says it all really.
Summary: Everyone sees your hands - be proud of them
