Advantages: funky bottle

Disadvantages: too thick & gluey, expensive for what it is

I bought this because I thought "Sally Hansen" tried and trusted kind of stuff.....

..... The bottle attracted me - that funky chrome look and I was looking for a good quality topcoat for my nails. At nearly 6 quid a bottle it certainly comes in at the more expensive end of the market for topcoats but I didn't let this worry me as I don't mind paying more for quality.

Anyway, upon trying it I was pleased with it as it does give a very shiny look to the nails. However, I honestly don't feel it has lengthened the life of my polishes at all. Certainly not more than any other topcoats would.

Also, I've now had it a few months and it's rapidly gone very thick and gluey. Very hard to get a thin coat on it. Also, I find it "lifts" my coloured polish away from underneath sometimes. It's weird. I put the topcoat on when my coloured polish is dry, altho apparently you can put it on top of wet.

Also, the chrome stuff that covers the bottle comes away easily and I've even managed to find bits of it IN the bottle which then gets transferred to my nails.

So, all in all, I wouldn't buy this product again, tho it hasn't put me off the Sally Hansen range in general. I will try one of the other topcoats next time.
