I have always had gel or acrylic nails, but when I decided to go travelling and needed to save this was one thing that had to go! For ages I tried growing my nails but they just kept breaking, I would keep such good care of them but still they would just break all the time! i spoke to a friend who used a nail strengthener but she said they all make your nails brittle and dont really work. But I decided to buy one anyway. I wanted to go for a good make, so went to Superdrug and selected Sally Hansen. This is without a doubt, one of the best nail strengtheners around. However, for it to work, it needs to be applied religiously (2-3 times a week) and then you will start to see things happen. It tackles dry flakey nails, and makes them so much stronger, which then allows them to grow. Everytime you apply the nail varnish, it is a good idea to give your nails a bit of love by filing them, using a buffer and caring for your cuticles using cuticle cream. I would also recommend using a vitamin E hand cream, as this also helps your nails to grow stronger. I gave up biting my nails almost a year now and I am quite proud of myself, as I really don't have much willpower! One of the issues I had when I was trying to grow my nails initially, was that they were very weak, bendy and would break a lot. About 6 months into my non nail biting mission I wanted to invest in buying a nail strengthener product. I had heard of Sally Hansen products by word of mouth, a lot of people I know had used various products from this brand and although I didn't get a recommendation for this product itself, I decided that when I saw it for £2.99 in Bodycare, it would be as good as anything you could get for that ...
