      Very helpful

Despite not lasting long, I really love it - super smooth, super pigmented and...well...unusual for me!

I was really interested in trying it out after hearing a YouTube review about this. I thought it was interesting and unusual that the product describes itself as not cosmetic... in short...cue, another impulsive buy from me......

      ~~Product Information~~
(From the information card that comes with the product)
A very special combination of precious herbs and pure almond oil to pamper your eyes. The flower extracts help to relax the eyes while the pure almond oil encourages the growth of luxuriant eyelashes. Triphala was used in the ancient Ayurvedic system of medicine for maintaining and improving vision.

Triphala oil extract (Emblica officinalis, Terminalia chebula, Terminalia belerica) 3.0%, Kapoor Bhimseni (Camphora officinarum) 1.0%, Badam Tel (Prunus amygdalus) 2.0%, Arandi Tel (Ricinus communis) 25.0%, Mom (Bees Wax) 3.0%, Base q.s. to make it 100%.

      ~~Price and Additional Information~~
I paid for this product on Ebay over a year ago, but they sell this product in more places now. The Ebay seller was from the US and I paid around $17 which was around £10.50 then including delivery costs. You can find this product on Amazon for £12.78.

The packaging feels rather flimsy and looks just like a ridged, plastic lipstick tube that has a flat panel with a mirror attached. The mirror is pretty useful for applying the product and I quite like it. There isn't any text on the tube apart from a logo. The tube measures just under 7.5cm and the tube comes in one colour which is black. When you pull it open, the interior is painted gold. This product is really unusual looking especially, I would have thought, to westerners. When you twist it up, what you see is just a black cone - a bit like a really fat crayon! It's around 2.5cm tall. the net weight is 2g.

      ~~My Thoughts~~
I was super curious about this product since I'd read that some mothers use this on their children in South Asian countries like India, where this specific product is from. I'd also heard that it promotes the growth of lashes. The claim that it improves vision was much less believable to me and I never really thought about that when using it.

As a product by itself, I'd also heard of its great staying power on the waterline and how easy it was to use. The tutorial I saw actually was how to line the top and bottom waterline with this product. I tried it a few times, but I don't like lining the waterline, so I soon reverted to just putting it on as normal near the lashes. (For those interested, you pretty much close your eye over it so the top and bottom waterline are making contact with the pigment, before dragging gently. There are probably tutorials on this, but I didn't find it very comfortable so it's not for everyone!)

The thing I noticed immediately when applying was that this product is SUPER creamy and smooth to apply. You barely have to press to get a rich, black line. It is highly, highly pigmented and really soft - this was expected since you just twist and use. It's really, really easy to blend and smudge. Despite the product not lasting a long time as an eyeliner, I really enjoyed using it. Perhaps it's just the novelty, but it was so smooth and easy to put on that it was very much hassle free. With a product like this though, if you are planning to use it for e.g. a night out, you will probably get the notorious panda eyes...

As for the claims about 'luxuriant eyelashes' and 'improved vision', I can't say I noticed anything different happening!

Another thing to mention is that since it's not marketed as a makeup product, on the card that comes with the product you do get a Best Before date, as well as a date when the product was manufacture.

I really like this product and will continue to use it. It is really lovely and easy to use. I wouldn't recommend it if you like your eyeliner to be precise since the cone shape pretty much makes it impossible - you will get a rather chunky line. I am rather tempted to repurchase it, but I really don't think it's for everybody. It doesn't last that long on me, but as I've mentioned in a previous review, my eye area seems to be on the oily side. I would give this product 4 stars out of 5 since I'd probably only wear for short trips... I've tried wearing it for longer periods (over 1-2 hours and I've looked like a panda...) If you are interested in this product, I'd HIGHLY recommend you have a look around on forums and read some reviews! :)
