Advantages: It is kind to eyes!

Disadvantages: Not suitable for wehat I needed it for.

My favourite mascara is Max Factor false lash effect mascara, it is affordable, yet delivers quality which I have only previously seen in the premium brands. There is only one downside, when I apply it, I end up with loads over my eyelids, this is because of the way the brush is designed. I thought I would buy this make up corrector pen to help sort my eyes out after applying mascara, but also for when I apply eyeliner. I can never quite do it right first time and always end up having to correct my lines. One day I will have a steady hand!

I saw this Simple kind to eyes make up corrector pen for sale in Tesco. It was at a reduced price and on the end of an aisle in a display. I presumed it was a new product they were promoting, and thats why it was on a special price and being pushed for sale. It was £2.99. I have always thought of simple as a good brand so decided to treat myself and give it a go.

The product comes sealed in a part cardboard part plastic container. It is a pen which has a soft brush tip, a bit like Yves Touche Eclat. When you press the end of the pen it dispenses make up remover into the tip of the brush. The make up remover is very sensitive and soft on the skin. I suffer from dry skin and occasional eczema, but this has never irritated my otherwise sensitive areas!

The fine brush tip makes it very easy to apply to larger areas. The problem with the brush is that it is quite thick, so if you just need to correct the tiniest bit of liquid eyeliner, like I have to then this is too cumbersome and I end up taking even more off and having to reapply. For the purposes of what I bought this for, it does work fore removing mascara, but the level of detail I need for correcting my eyeliner is much better done with a cotton bud, and therefore for my purposes I would rather stick with cotton buds and water they are much cheaper!

If you were to use the Max Factor waterproof mascara you might have more luck with this product, so the waterproof one cannot be removed with water on a cotton bud. I haven't tried the waterproof mascara with this product as I don't own it or use it, but I would hope that this is the sort of product which that is designed for.

Summary: I would imagine this is ideal for waterproof mascara.
