You've got black eyes!! (Sleek Ink Pot Gel Eyeliner)

***WHY DID I BUY THIS PRODUCT?***
I am a part time model and the last make up artist used some great gel eye-liner which came in a pot. She created some beautiful eye's and great effects with the eyeliner and I have since been looking for a similar products but noticed they were too pricey as they were made by expensive brands such as MAC. I read a review about this product a while ago and thought I would give it a try as it was less than half the price of the MAC eye-liner pot I had already seen.

***THE EYELINER***
I have only seen this make-up range in Superdrug and this pot cost me approx £3.20. It comes in a plastic box and in the box in a glass pot with a screw lid and a small thin brush which can be used to apply the eyeliner. The glass pot is frosted and the screw lid is black with pink writing on. As you unscrew the lid you can see the black eyeliner in the pot. The gel eye-liner is waterproof and is made for long wear.

(Please note this is avaliable in other colours, but I am reviewing the black colour which is called Dominatrix.

***USING THE EYELINER***
I used the small brush and lightly brushed it along the surface of the black gel inside the pot. The gel transferred very easily onto the brush. When applying this to my upper lid, it was quite easy to glide on but I felt as though the brush ws a bit too small and fiddly to hold in between my fingers. The gel went on fine but I felt as though it could look neater with a better eye-liner brush.

On 2nd attempt on using this gel with a better eye-liner brsh (which can be bought in Boots ou Superdrug), I felt as though I got a smoother line and the eye-liner looked a lot more tidier than using the small brush which was supplied with the pot.

***DID THE EYELINER MEET MY EXPECTATIONS?***
This eye-liner lasted through-out the night and didn't cause any irritation to my eyes either. It is definately waterprrof and also very long lasting as well. I woe this over an eye-shadow and even applying the eye-liner on top of the eye-shadow it still stayed on throughout the night.

***OVERALL OPINION***
This is a great eye-liner that I will continue to use. I don't wear this during the day as I feel as though it may be a bit too dark for me, but I do put this on when going out for a night out and for some photo-shoots as well. I would advise buying a better brush for the pot as the brush supplied is very fiddly and left my eyeliner looking slightly messy and uneven as well. This how-ever a great buy and I would recommend it to others.

Summary: A great long-lasting gel eye-liner in a pot that lasts all night.
