Advantages: Flattering colour and shine, nice packaging

Disadvantages: Sticky, sceptical about collagens effects

Despite being the most expensive lip balm that I have ever purchased I found myself picking up another one just last weekend! I'm a big fan of the soap and glory range after receiving various gift sets for Christmas one year. I don't usually buy individual soap and glory products as I do find that they are highly priced but for this product inparticular I make an exception.

The lip balm is tall and is candy pink in colour it comes with a screwable lid which stops the product from spilling out. It has metallic text emblazoned upon it which makes the packaging girly and eyecatching. The tube is very appealing to the eye and even looks expensive which I like about the product.

Inside the tube is the lipbalm it is light pink in colour and looks slightly shimmery which was immediately appealing to me. It looks on the lips exactly how it does in the tube and gives a light shimmer and a tint of a pink colour. Sometimes I even apply the lipbalm over the top of various shades of lipstick and always find that it gives just the right amount of shine and colour. The smell of the lipgloss is quite sweet and I think that it smells like a fruity kind of sweet the smell isn't overwhelming but you can smell it as soon as you apply it to the lips. It tastes a little bit how it smells to so if you are tempted to lick your lips whilst wearing this lipgloss then you're in for a treat ;)

After wearing the lip balm, even though I think it is more like a lipgloss!, my lips do feel softer and replenished and when my lips have been dry they do feel moisturised and the cracks ease up on my lips which is of great benefit to me. The lipbalm also has a lip pumping effect as it contains collagen, I have always been sceptical of the lip pumping effect of high street lip products and this product does little to change my mind - I didn't see any obvious lip pumping effects during or after using this product.

One major disadvantage to this lip balm is that it is very sticky and my hair always gets caught in it which is annoying and makes my hair sticky and my lip balm smudge but other than that issue, which is an issue with most lip products, I find little else wrong with this product.

This lip balm is £8 from Boots which is very steep but I love the unique colour and sparkle that this lipgloss leaves, I do use it sparingly so this lipbalm is just a little treat every now and again!
