Advantages: Smells nice, can be used a lip gloss

Disadvantages: No bigger and thicker lips I'm afraid!

I always wanted to look and feel good from inside equally as outside and to be honest looking good from outside boosts my self-assurance and makes me feel better within as well. I know that self-belief is the key to success . . . but in spite of everything . . . I still assume that taking care of yourself can also help.

I'm not a makeup world's professional; I don't use cosmetics very much apart from using a good quality mascara and lip gloss.
Sorry to say, I don't have sexy lips (looks sad) but I have tried to enhance them and make them look at their best! I have a relatively small mouth with slightly unbalanced lip thickness; the upper lip is thinner while the lower one is fuller and rounder (a bit like the 50's lips actually).

Anyway . . . I'm making an effort to rectify my unbalanced lips by using a lip liner; I get great results - but then I always wonder every now and then if there are any long-lasting techniques other than applying lip liner.
Most of us have heard about lip plumpers. I won't lie to you, I have been tempted, and have tried so many of these products - all of them claimed to do wonders; regrettably the results were unsatisfactory!

I gave up using lip plumpers for a while due to money wasting and stingy smell and taste, until very recently I started to look out again for these products. I found Soap and Glory "SEXY MOTHER PUCKER" The name was such an embarrassment to ask about . . . it can easily be mistaken or misheard for something else which is (cheeky). Anyhow . . . I was very excited to try it for many reasons: obviously they made a great effort on the packaging and their quotes worked for me and attracted my attention! This item was featured and recommended on "how to look good naked" program on 29 April 2008 so all the more reason to try!

Another claim by Soap and Glory encouraged me to try this product, skinny to sexy? Right . . . sounds very promising . . . wait I shouldn't be fooled that easily, so I asked myself, "how it can do that? What is the science behind it?"

They claim that by using superfill microspheres, they can magically transform your usual thin lips to super sized lips, 10x bigger! Wow . . . Ok . . . nicely written and very cleverly presented, but, what are "superfill microspheres"?
I actually didn't know before! So I looked on the internet to see what they were and I came up with only one answer.

Superfill (clinoptilolite) is used as a part of for lip pumping process. It refers to a group of minerals that are basically hydrated calcium potassium sodium aluminosilicates, in which the water is held in cavities in the lattice (that's why you need to get your lips wet to make it work). Superfill is rolled into microspheres, so it works like a small spheres of sponges so that when filled with liquid they expand and become bigger helping the lips to look fuller by trapping the moisture inside - exactly like a sponge absorbing water!

So I was very eagerly excited and said to myself, "why not give it a go and see for myself, it's my golden chance to give my lips a quick lift and accentuate them!"

Looks very attractive - in very bright pink and grey with a BIG SEXY word on the middle and that beautiful 50's-60's woman pouting with her perfect lips (making me jealous). The packaging includes their famous quotes: one of the most irritating quotes was''' "scientists confirm: size matters! Fuller lips attract men more!"''' (now I'm looking cross!) Well, if the SCIENTISTS confirm that . . . then men are all small minded; to top it off women are worse than them to believe that!

Ok, moving on . . . there is a small box with a clear plastic window showing the lip plumper . . .

There are some good choices of colour from Soap and Glory
* Nude
* clear
* Pink
* Peach
* Plum juice

I have bought the nude one, which gives the lips a natural colour.

== The tube ==

That plastic cover on the tube was very hard to take off! Very simple looking - it appeared to be like a normal lip gloss with "sexy mother pucker" writing in the middle. I'm very encouraged now! I have probably read the word "sexy" 100 times now, so I'm feeling sexy already!

As for all lip glosses there is a sponge applicator stick at the end of the glittery cover and long stick. As I opened it a nice smell of chocolate came over - well it's more like a cocoa butter smell rather than chocolate. Nice smell, though, so I don't have to be put off by a bad smell like other lip plumpers (although when smelling it longer I feel sort of sick)! The colour of the nude gloss was chocolaty brown; it looked dark but when applied, the result was different.

Strangely . . . there was a sort of resistance when I tried to put the applicator back as if it was trying to bounce back off! ( no explanation for that)

== The moment of truth . . . Applying the lip gloss . . . I'm going to be a mother pucker! Can't wait! ==

Well at the beginning I thought "yes! They can't say anything else!"

I used the provided sponge applicator and dipped it in the cylinder container. I don't know why it looked very empty to me! The mixture is so incredibly thick that nothing drips off even when you hold it upside down.

I applied a thin layer of the magic stuff; it was very gooey and sticky (very exasperating) but at least the smell was good. I waited for a few minutes, but nothing happened. I was sure that something was missing, so I re-read the box again and then I realised that my lips needed contact with WATER! So I licked my lips to get them wet and wiped them gently with a bit of water and waited again.

In less than five minutes, the formula started to work, and, yes, I felt that something was happening.

A slight tingling was going on, my lips started to prickle and I even got the vibration sensation!

The tingling sensation was still happening after 20 minutes; it was getting stronger and my lips were still shivering!

Nothing visible happened no matter how long I waited! I applied more water but the more water I added the stronger the tingling sensation it got.

== After an hour or so I gave up after applying the stuff for many times, therefore as a result, I can sum my experience as the following ==

* Very thick and gooey mixture

* Easy to apply using the applicator provided

* Nice selection of colours

* Keep in mind that the formula won't started to work unless you add moisture to it

* Only includes 7ml of the magical potion although it didn't look even that much to me.

* Very shiny and glossy look but that's not what are we looking for!

* A strong but not irritating tickle; vibrations /sensations lasted for 15-20 minutes, faded gradually

* As for lip PLUMPING I'm afraid nothing had changed!

I looked at the mirror several times and I couldn't find any changes what? So ever! I asked my sister and she said my lips looked different but definitely not bigger. They looked shinier, more moisturised and nothing more to add!

I was very disappointed, What? No bee-stung lips? I felt that Soap and Glory had let me down, no sexy rounder lips and I thought I'm not going to be the new "Angelina Jolie" nor "Jordan" and I won't have the "promised" sexual attraction!

Sorrowfully, the results were very unsatisfactory, I was very infuriated for wasting my money buying this product as it didn't do anything apart from glossing the lips and that didn't last! I can buy any cheap lip gloss and it will do the trick. The "super-fill miracle" was big fat lie. What did I get for the money? Nothing . . . only the disappointment!

I hate to feel cheated or laughed at so I wrote to the company complaining about their product; surprisingly they answered me very quickly and offered me their money back guarantee (it was a part of their policy anyway) even the P&P was payable by them! That's much better!

Very inadequate and very poor results; I was very disenchanted with the results; My lips didn't get any bigger or fuller - there was a bit of a moisturising effect; my lips got mirror shining reflects but not for long . . . The only thing that was right was the tingling!

So I don't classify this as a lip plumper . . . it can be a cheap lip gloss, maybe lip balm (or ironically a sex toy!)

So . . . I'm more than happy to keep my lips as they are . . . after all . . . '''SIZE DOES NOT MATTER!'''
