Advantages: Plumps your lips ie. does what it says it will.
Disadvantages: Repels people.
I was bought this as a gift from my sister as she was so impressed with this product. This was my first experience of the Soap and Glory range and I think I'm right in saying that this was one of their first products which really made a name for themselves in the high street cosmetics industry.
The reason why this product really set the cat among the pigeons in high street cosmetics is because this lip gloss actually does what it says it will do. When you apply this product, in the traditional lip gloss fashion with the gloss in a plastic tube and the applicator being a dib-dab wand, a chemical reaction happens which causes your lips to really tingle and they do actually grow in size at least for a good hour. The product's scent is fresh, minty and lovely.
So far so good but what are the hidden implications to this lip-pumping lip gloss? Well, I know when I went to kiss my partner I was greeted with "What is that on your lips?". This lip gloss is not subtle, everyone in the room will know you're wearing lip gloss as it looks so shiny and sticky. In fact after an hour of the product on your lips they do begin to feel sticky and thus the product becomes uncomfortable to wear. When I kissed my partner he was in agony and asked me to please not wear this product if I as going to kiss him as it hurts his lips. So maybe this is a product for single ladies who intend on staying that way? I'm not sure.
Unlike most cosmetics you do need to pay attention to the life span of the product from opening. After 6 months you will need to replace as the product goes gloopy and sticky. The retail price for this is £9 and taking into consideration that you will probably not want to wear this every day I'd say that's pretty bad value for money. But the product does do what it says on the "tin" only it should come with more warnings maybe.
Summary: Good if you want to try something new but beware!
