I really should find a brand that I like and stick to it, especially where make up is concerned but I do like to shop around and try different brands and new products. Recently I have fallen in love with the Stila brand when I bought a set in TK Maxx of all places, and I have been actively seeking out other products by them every since. When I was due to buy a new foundation, I started keeping an eye out for some by Stila and couldn't believe my luck when I actually found some in another TK Maxx. Result! I was even more pleased when I googled the foundation and realised the RRP is £25 and I paid £10! Yey! The foundation comes in 12 different shades so will suit everyone's skin tone. It's really easy to apply and is super light. I would say it provides a light to medium coverage so you will need to use it as part of a skincare regime when applying make up, and not by it's self. It has a semi- matte finish. When applied, the foundation leaves the skin looking vibrant and fresh and super natural. I have found that you only need a real small amount of the product on the face, the Stila website recommends you only cover 10% of the face and then blend for an optimal finish. I apply concealer to my worst effected areas before the foundation, and then top of with a perfecting concealer for any areas that can still be seen. It can be applied with fingers, a sponge or a brush but I have found a brush gives the best finish, although it is fiddle to get it onto the brush without pouring the entire contents on your lap! The bulky glass bottle (0.90 fl. oz.) means it does last forever (mine has everyday use for 3 months and still hasn't got to the halfway point), but it is heavy and unrealistic to carry with you day to day in your handbag. It feels natural once it's applied, not cakelike in any way. The skin can still breath and look natural and it doesn't look oily (in fact this particular product is oil free). It lasts all day too, you may need to just touch up on the concealer later on in the day but that's no problem for me and something I've found with every single foundation I've ever used. The only negative I have is the scent, it doesn't have a smell but the actual foundation reminds me slightly of a subtle paint smell! Nice! It doesn't last long upon application, but on the first occasion I used it I was quite surprised at the smell. I will use this product again but don't think I could bring myself to pay £25 for it, but that's not a reflection of the product, only because I got it for such a good price the first time round! Recommended if you don't mind smelling of a subtle paint smell for ten minutes each morning!
