A great product for only £10 in sale! Highly recommended :)

      Stila Travel Palettes

I bought this product from look fantastic, because it looked like colours that I always wear and because I have not tried this American brand of cosmetics before and it looked good.

      *Packaging and about the product*
It comes in a really really pretty case/compact that has a cartoon image of St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow. The colours and detail of the packaging are really vivid and look very sharp. It does look super cute and it would make a great present.

But one thing I didn't like about this product is that when it came in the post I thought it was going to be bigger than it actually was. But when it came it is only 11.5cm by 6.5cm which is really tiny, which was a bit disappointing.

In the palette there are four eyeshadows in the shades, matryoshka (top left), Nadia (top right), Chill (bottom left) and Mink (bottom right) - which are 4.3g. And the larger circle at the bottom of the compact is a convertible colour dual lip and cheek cream in the shade lily - which is 2.7g. It also has a mirror on the inside of the compact opposite from the products.

      *Eyeshadows*
I really like these eyeshadows, they are all shimmery/metallic looking which is great and they are all really quite pigmented and have a good colour pay off, unlike some shadows which are not really pigmented at all.

They are really easy to blend to create softer or subtle looks and they all work really well together, for example, I like to use the colour matryoshka which is a gorgeous shimmery beige/pink all over the lid and then I use the shade mink which is a deep brown with gold shimmer in it, in the outer corner and blend inwards which creates a pretty metallic brown smokey eye look.

Also they do not really crease that much and when I put my body shop mattifying primer on then it does not crease at all and it also lasts for all of the day too.

      *Lip and cheek cream*
I do like this product as well, and it looks really great in the palette as it complements the eyeshadows really well. It is also shimmery and it looks great on lips as it is quite a natural sheer colour and it is not too heavy, but it does not have great staying power. But other than that it is great, although I don't think I would want to use it on my cheeks as it has a glossy/oily feel when applied.

      *Overall*
It is a great little palette even thought it is tiny (I didn't know it was a travel palette when I ordered it) and it has a great range of complementary eyeshadows and a lip/cheek cream. Great colours for autumn too.

      *Price/availability*
I bought this from lookfantastic.com, which is a uk site and as this is an american brand I could not really find this on a lot of other uk sites. But you could buy it from an american site. It cost me £10 which is really cheap and it said at the checkout that the palette should have been £65 which is crazy for a small palette - so that is a saving of £55! Which is great, and they also have a tokyo one on the site.

      Conclusions
      Good points
      *Easy to blend shadows
      *Shadows stay put for ages
      *Great shimmery shades
      *Very cute packaging
      *Good colour payoff

*Good for traveling or for touch ups
*Other 'city' palettes such as tokyo

      *Bad points
      *Expensive when not on sale
      *No applicator brush/tool inside
*Not widely available to my knowledge
