“ Brand: Superdrug / Type: Foundation / Subcategory: Moisturiser / What it does: Moisturizes, „
As I don't like to use heavy foundations that seem to clog my pores, I opt for tinted moisturisers these days.
I opted for Superdrug's tinted moisturiser after I tried an in-store sample of it and liked everything about it; how it worked with my skin tone, how it felt on my skin and because it actually felt like a moisturiser rather than a foundation (a lot of the other tinted moisturisers tend to go this way so I was wary).
As it was on offer, I bought two bottles because I don't wear make-up very often and decided that this was a reasonable stock-up - plus I wasn't impulse buying because I'd come in-store to buy a tinted moisturiser :).
It also had SPF protection and although I'm not sure of the legitimacy of this claim - or rather, how strong the SPF is I would never solely use tinted moisturiser on my face as a sun screen. I suppose it's a good barrier during those winter sun months.
Once I got it home, I tried it again and I wasn't disappointed with it - it was perfect and I began to wonder what I'd been putting my skin through with all those years worth of foundation applying! I will never again buy foundation and will stick by faithfully to my tinted moisturisers!
I bought Superdrugs tinted moisturiser around the christmas time as my skin is very dry and foundations dont seem to work on my skin and give me an orange colour. I bought it on sale for around £2 so im not sure what the original price is. I still have some left, even while sharing with my older sister so I think you do get your moneys worth , But it depend how many times you use the product and how much you apply. Theres not much I can say about the moisturiser it seems to do its job and leaves me with a fresh sort of all over glow which normally lasts a few hours while with foundation I feel a dull sticky feeling around my face. The tinted moistiriser is good if your in a rush and have little time as it really can be applied any was, just like moisturiser as it doesnt leave streaks or lines or an orange colour. I would recommend this to younger people and teenagers as I think the schools dont mind pupils wearing alot of it and its easy to apply as many teenagers cant apply foundation very well and find it hard, like me personally. I would also recommend this to people with sensitive skin as it is a moisturiser and will help the skin rather than making it worser like some make-up products. A disadvantage about the tinted moisturiser is that it doesnt last very long.It slips off easily which isnt very suitable for people with oily skin. While it is an advantage for people with dry skin as it moisturises instead or going blotchy and patchy. The packaging is like a tub which is squeezable and there is a silver nozzle at the end. The packaging is see-through and very durable as no holes have been made in my tube, and it has been through alot! Thanks for reading.
A facial moisturiser that adds subtle colour to the skin / Reasonably priced /
