Advantages: Pretty colours, cheap

Disadvantages: Very sticky

My boyfriend enthusiastically bought 4 of the 5 flavours of these lip glosses from Bodycare to replace one of mine which was stolen (!) and was pleased at the price, but not so much the quality.

*Look and scent*
Technic's Roll-on Fruity Lip Gloss comes in 5 flavours and colours as follows:

Wild Raspberry (pictured) -
a nice pink colour; sweet, coconutty taste, like bubble bath

Red Cherry -
a pretty red shade; deep, cherry yoghurt flavour

Apple -
a nice fresh green; light and appley, a bit like apple washing up liquid

Tangerine -
a vibrant orange; tangy, orange taste, a bit like children's orange syrup medicine

Banana -
a lovely yellow; very sweet

The bottles look lovely lined up in a set (a bit like Bed Head bottles in a hair dressers' window), so I'm not sure if I could choose one alone!

*Application*
The top of the lip gloss twists of and there is a roll-on applicator, which as always is difficult to get going at first (you have to rub it on your lips or hand dry first to get the lip gloss out). The gloss seems to flow well once some is used. However the roll-on is quite stiff.

*Result*
This lipgloss (perhaps due to the price) is perhaps not as good quality as more expensive alternatives and thus is very STICKY. While it would probably last a good hour if left alone, I find I end up licking it off quite quickly as I am fed up of my lips sticking together. I put some on on a boat ride and quickly had much of my hair stuck to my lips due to the wind which was very frustrating. It is also not very pleasant to kiss with due to its stickiness. It does add a nice, quite natural colourless sheen to the lips so generally looks good when applied and would be alright for a no-kiss type of date (i.e. for preteens).

*Price*
This lipgloss is sold at between 79p and £1.50 for 10ml, which is very low. I have bought other Technic products from Bodycare and have noticed that as a brand they produce cheap and cheerful cosmetics for people like myself who know little about the abilities of a £10 bottle of ultra-lifting butterfly-lashing non-stick widening mascara. I do not feel this product is particularly good value for money, as other lip products provide colour, moisture and shine and are non-sticky all in one for only a few pounds more. My boyfriend would probably have been better off buying me one £4 Nivea lip balm rather than 4 pretty bottles of this stuff.

*Conclusion*
I will use these lip glosses for days when there is no wind forecast and I don't intend on kissing anybody, but otherwise they are for decoration only.
