      An Okay Stand In.

A few weeks ago I ran out of my usual Dream Matte Mousse foundation and I had to ask a friend to nip to town with me so I could buy a brand new one. When I told her what I was going to buy she couldnt believe that I spend about £8 on a new foundation every month and in an effort to try and save me money she recommended that I try this foundation. She told me that this was a cheaper version of the saem product but it worked just as well so I had to buy it didnt I? Dream Matte Mousse but just with a different name and less than half the price! Wild horses couldnt have stopped me from buying a tub of this foundation.

      Useful Information:
Stockists: Ive Only Ever Seen It Sold In Bodycare.
      Price: £3!!
Product Description: An Air-Whipped Mousse Foundation.

      Shades:
      Taupe
      Natural
      Ivory (Lightest)
      Beige (Darkest)

I personally own the Taupe shade as I felt that was the shade that matched my skin tone the best but the range of shades isnt great to be fair.

I was never expecting this to be exactly like proper mousses foundation for only 3 quid but I have been totally and pleasantly surprised.

Appearance wise the packaging is a lot like Maybelline's version of this mousse. The product comes in a 20g glass tub with a plastic screw off lid. This can be pretty hard to put back on when your hands are covered in foundation.

The foundation is actually a little bit different. Yes this is a mousse foundation but it has more of a creamy texture and appearance to it when you compare it to other foundations like this. The texture is very different as well it doesnt feel soft and whipped like my usual foundation it feels really wet and sticky. However it actually is a lot better than it sounds when you actually put it on your face.

This actually gives my face proper nice coverage. It blends in really well and doesnt take long at all to rub into your skin. It gives you full coverage without making you look caked on or covered in slap and it doesnt leave any tide marks or orange lines. The only thing I will say about the appearance of my skin after I had applied this is that it did kid of dry it out. Only on the bridge of my nose but I dont recommend this to anyone who has very dry skin on their face.

This does surprisingly work really well but it was never going to be as good as the real thing in my opinion. It makes you skin look and feel pretty good but it really did lack something I thought. You definately pay for quality when you buy from Maybelline. Havign said that I highly recommend you use this if your pushed for cash and you still want to look and feel good about yourself.

It didnt live up to the hype created by my mate LOL. But Im never without a tub in case my proper foundation runs out!

      Thanks For Reading
