Advantages: Super lengthening effect.

Disadvantages: Clumpy and time consuming, takes practice, not as good as Coup De Theatre.

In almost every review I write about mascara I end up mentioning Coup De Theatre, there is a good reason for this. It is simply because it has become my benchmark when it comes to what I expect from a mascara. I have high expectations, anything you are spending money on you expect results from especially when they all make such wild claims of what miracles they can perform!

Luckily this mascara didn't cost me anything otherwise I would have been seriously annoyed!

This has two mascaras in one, either end is a pot of mascara and the centre is the handle to both wands. One end is white and the other black. The first step is the white side, this is to add length to your lashes.

Applying the white side is not easy, this takes some practice and real effort. It is easy to end up with your lashes all looking different lengths and lop sided, this also can end up with your lashes looking like long thick spiders legs!

The black side looks no different to any other mascara and covers the white mascara well but is very thick and clumpy so doesn't give a very good end result.

This does make lashes look much thicker and a bit longer but is in no way anywhere near good enough! I am so disappointed in The Body Shop for selling this product, I usually struggle to find reasons to dislike any of their products but with this one it is the opposite!
The Body Shop website says "A two-step volumising and lengthening mascara, that gives the appearance of 100% additional volume and length, for dramatically thicker, longer lashes!" Sorry but 100%? NO NO NO NO NO! It is not true and is just a hook being dangled in front of people with short lashes to get them to buy such rubbish!

DO NOT bother wasting time, money and hopes of long fluttering lashes on this mascara! Grab Coup De Theatre and be done with it, trust me you will thank me in the end!

At £11.00 this is nothing short of a rip off!

The Body Shop is involved with many charities and foundations, information on these can be found through links on their website. None of their products are tested on animals. They also run their own version of fair trade, which they call community trade, they pay fair prices to farmers of the ingredients they buy. Details of their community trade programme can also be found on their website.

The website is very user friendly and means not only can you buy online (good P&P charges and fast delivery) but you can also find out more about their products and find out where your local store is situated.
