The Body Shop Double Intensity Mascara

My friend works in the Body Shop and I went in looking for a new mascara, she said this one was new so I bought it, big mistake!

Packaging

No cardboard just comes wrapped in a clear piece of plastic to stop customers opening the tubes.

Description

The tube is silver in the middle and then has one black end and one white end. This is a two part step mascara. The tube is quite long so wouldn't fit into a small make up bag! It needs to be long as it has two wands coming out at either end.

This mascara holds x2 (white and black) 4.5ml so compared to my Mabelline which holds 12.5ml, this would last three times less longer so it is not value for money.

This product costs £11, rip off for only 4.5ml.

Application

Open your eye wide and start as close the the eye line as possible starting at the inner eye. A tip is to wiggle the brush as you bring it up to the tips of your eye lashes this gives a much better effect. Keep repeating this process all along the length of your eye until you achieve a even and long lenth look. With this mascara you apply the white first and then the black, the white is supposed to create length and then the black fullness.

I found the white hard to apply to the lashes, it didn't glide easily and was extremely hard to get the length of lashes even, some looked relatively small and others like spiders legs!

The black was easier to apply but the white had already spoilt the look.

Finish
-------

The finish I achieved with this mascara looked awful, clumpy and very uneven.
