Advantages: ong-lasting, crease-resistant and moisturizing eye shadows, intense colour coverage,

Disadvantages: none

I've always been a quite big fan of The Body Shop, though their makeups are not very popular, I find them quite good but hesitate to buy because of the price. So I tend to buy them on offers. I picked up a few eyeshadows when they were on sale last Christmas. Though probably not the best colour choices, I was quite happy with my purchase.

The single eyeshadow is quite small, it's about the size of a 2 pound coin, Each one costs £7.50 to £8 and contains 1.4g of product. The packaging is quite cute and very portable so it would fit nicely in your makeup bag. Currently there are 23 colours available. Some are matte, some are shimmery. It's quite hard to find a matte eyeshadow with drugstore brands so I think it's quite a good choice to look at. The colour range is quite good, they vary from very neutrals ones to colourful ones to suit your personality and the looks you are going for.

As I mentioned, I bought some discontinued colours so they only cost £3 each (and then 10% for LYB card) so I think it was quite a steal.

There are natural ingredients in these products (marula oil, olive wax..) which are good for your skin and help to keep it moisturized.

I've never really let down by any of TBS make up items that I bought and these don't let me down either. The shadows are smooth and blended nicely, very easy to apply. Though they don't come with any applicator, you can just use your fingers as they are very pigmented and high colour payoff. Using a bit damped brushes to apply will give you more intense colour. I don't have to spend a lot of times trying to make the colour shown on my lids. They leave no powdery residues or whatsoever.

I have really oily eyelids and usually find it difficult to make the shadows stay on my lids all day, even with eye primer on, but I was impressed with the staying power of these eyeshadows, they last all day, well, for about 8-10 hours (which is brilliant).

The shadows are tightly compressed so you needn't to worry about losing products. A little pot goes a long way and will last you for a good amount of time.

However, sometimes I do think that, with £8, why don't I just save a little more to buy Mac eyeshadows? But you can definitely get them on offers (they do have promotions like 3 for 2, 25% off or something like that). They currently have 3 for 2 and they also offer 25% for online purchases with free delivery. So it works out about 4 pounds per eyeshadows, it's definitely a good time for me (and you as well) to pick up a few. It's definitely worth checking out.

4* just because of the normal price. Though I think it's well worth it.

Summary: 5* for the quality
