Advantages: Nice Even Coverage With A Natural Glow
Disadvantages: The Price
INTRODUCTION
The morning before a night out, which I had been looking forward to for so long I woke up with a spot the size of mount Everest on the end of my nose. I headed straight to my make-up to try to find something that would cover the monstrosity.
As foundation or consealer is something I rarely wear my old faithful make-up bag failed to help on this occasion, so I grabbed my bag and headed for the local body shop to find something suitable.
When I got there the shop assistant pointed out this flawless skin protecting foundation, and assured me it would work wonders for my spot that was growing really red by the minute.
THE BODY SHOP HISTORY
The body shop has become very famous for the policies they adopt, as it is a company that is environmentally friendly, no products are tested on animals and they also support many community trade programes across the world.
This company was founded by Anita Roddick, in 1976 when she opened her first Body Shop in Brighton. It only took a few years for her to go on and open Body Shop stores worldwide making it as successful as it is today.
Sadly Anita Roddick passed away o few years ago, but her memory and hard work are still visible within the body shop company.
THE PRODUCT
This flawless skin protecting foundation is currently a new edition to the body shop cosmetics range, and is known as a cream to powder foundation. That gives your skin a stunning natural finish, with an easy but perfect coverage.
It is designed so it can be worn on all skin types, and will achieve a medium to full coverage. Not only will it brighten up your skin, but as it is made with thousands of little foundation particles it will help fill in those fine lines we all seem to suffer from and ensure you get a nice even skin tone.
With added UV protection this is the perfect foundation to cover any spots or blemishes, as it actually covers without you looking like you have used a trawl to apply it.
APPLICATION
This product comes complete with a soft make-up sponge, to apply the foundation perfectly. The sponge is by far one of the best I have used in a long time as it collects the product, but will not soak it in to the sponge and therefore prevent you from wasting any product.
It is recommended that you cleanse and tone your skin before applying the cream foundation, this is to ensure you have no build up of other products in your pores. Once you have cleared your skin apply with the application sponge to get the best possible results.
If you have problems like spots of blemishes you may need two coats of this foundation, to ensure they are all covered perfectly.
Only apply the second coat as the first has dried to the powder form, if you apply the second coat too quickly you will run the chance of pulling off your first coat with the sponge.
Once you are happy with the look you have achieved, then you can continue applying your mascara, eye shadow and lip gloss to complete the look.
PACKAGING
The packaging is very luxurious indeed, the product itself comes in a silver mirrored compact that is split into two sections when it is opened.
One section is for the make-up sponge and the other is for cream foundation, the foundation is protected by a clear plastic cover which can be removed after you buy it, but I personally keep this to protect the cream from drying out, as I don't uses it all that often.
Inside the compact is a full length mirror, so application can be done at any time.
COST
These limited edition products come in six different shades, so you will almost certainly get a shade that will blend perfectly with your skin.
You can get this at any Body Shop store for 24.00, which is very expensive but it is worth the money as you get a great product and the compact itself is stunning. You can also buy refills for the compact so replacing the make-up next time will be a lot cheaper.
The Body Shop online www.thebodyshop.co.uk is currently selling this for 19.00 a unit, but this is on the condition that you also purchase the flawless consealer pen at the same time.

MY OPINION
I have found this by far one of the best foundations I have tried in the past, it was very easy and quick to apply which is a really good selling point for me as I can be very lazy when I am in a rush.
The way it goes on to the skin as a cream and then dries into a velvet to touch powder, is amazing as it leaves the skin with a smooth and radiant natural glow, that looks like you have had your make-up done professionally.
This is very expensive for what you get, but I think the price reflects the stunning compact the product comes in, I feel better that is was a one off price as the refills are a lot cheaper to buy.
Overall I was very happy with my buy, it really did the job and covered the huge spot that had taken residence on my nose.
After applying this it stayed on until I removed it with make-up remover, which was great as many foundations wear off within hours.
I would recommend this to anyone who has to cover bad spots or blemishes.
Summary: Great Product That Covers And Conditions At The Same Time....
