The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector claims to provide 'heavy duty moisturisation, protection and repair'. That, it does. I was given a sample of this product whilst in the Body Shop one day, and although it was a tiny sample in a little plastic tub, it was definitely enough to convince me to invest. This product is relatively expensive - 4.85 for 30ml.

However, this hand protector is very thick and hence only a small amount is needed to cover the hands and provide ample moisturisation. The product is a pale green colour and looks as natural as you would expect any Body Shop product to. It is absorbed well by the hands and doesn't leave a greasy feel on the skin. However, I have found that when a small amount of moisturiser is dispensed, more appears to leak out of the tube and the only way to stop this is replacing the top, which can mean that the tube gets a bit messy as the moisturiser leaks from underneath the lid.

The hand protector smells wonderful, even for a while after application. It is a strong smell without being overpowering. (I would however recommend trying out this hand protector before buying as the smell might not be for you).

After a few weeks of application (I tend to apply around 4-5 times per week), I have found that the skin on my hands, especially my knuckles, is much softer and more supple. My hands are less rough and the skin on my hands doesn't get as chapped in the winter months. This is definitely a product that I would recommend for your handbag.
