Last year I was stuck choosing between Shimmer Waves and Shimmer Cubes. I stood in The Body Shop in Bath completely miffed over which to go for, which was better, and which would be best for me. in the end I opted for Shimmer Waves and didn't look back, I am still pleased with the choice I made but have now been able to use Shimmer Cubes. I have now got two of the sets of Shimmer Cubes. If you haven't heard of them then I will explain what they are, each contains four cubes of eye shadow. The outer plastic pot is completely separate which means that if you buy more than one set of cubes you can mix them up to have a set of four at any one time that you ... Read the complete review

I have been using The Body Shop's Shimmer Cubes for a few months now and felt compelled to tell everyone how fab they are! If you're not familiar with them, Shimmer Cubes are a set of four seperate eyeshadows. Each eye shadow comes in its own small square pot and all four sit in a larger square pot. There are two main colour ranges available all year - 'Warm' which is a range of borowns and beiges and 'Sparkle' which contains sparkly silver, pink, brown and grey. In addition to the, every six months or so, The ody Shop releases a Shimmer Cube set in seasonal colours. the colours they have at the moment look a bit vibrant for me - it's blue, ... Body Shop Shimmer Cubes are totally fab! They come in a pack of 4 smaller cubes inside a larger cube. This means that they are great to take out with you for 'top' ups. I first bought the warm shades which I have now had for 14mths and I still have plenty even after wearing them almost everyday. I also recently bought the Christmas special edition which was much cooler tones i.e. silver etc. The best thing about them is that they are perfect for using both day and night. For a daytime look you can choose to use a brush to apply them to your eyelid. I personally use the lightest shade for everywhere and then use the second darkest shade for my ... I bought this as I liked the idea of getting 4 different colours in one go. I also loved that each of the little pots were kept together in a bigger box, which helped me not to lose them, but also meant that I could take one or two colours out with me if I needed. My set has two brown/bronze colours and two pink/purple(greyish) colours. I confess to being a bit lazy in the make-up department, so this is perfect for me. If I'm wearing brown colours I put on the bronze, with a hint of the darker colour. If I'm wearing pink-ish stuff then I use the pink, also with the darker colour. I find I rarely use the purple/grey as it's quite light, and doesn't contrast as ... Read the complete review

A couple of years ago I was invited to a "Body Shop at Home" party at the home of a friend of a friend. It was the wrong side of payday for me, and although there were so many fab things I could happily have ordered, I needed something practical yet not pricey - something that I knew would get used, rather than something that I might end up allocating to that pile of things that "semed like a good idea at the time". So, this palette cube set of Shimmer Cubes Eye Shadows found its way onto my order form - and I have been very glad that it did. The current cost is £15.65, which is less than £4 per colour, and because of the way they last a ... Read the complete review
