Generally this retails at around the £13.50 mark but there are a few websites that sell it cheaper, e.g. www.thecosmetichouse.co.uk which currently have it for sale at £10.95.
- Packaging and look -
This tube is quite chunky and like others, the brush is taken out via a screw top lid. It is black and quite understated with pink lettering and logo on it.
- Application -
Like the tube, the brush applicator is quite chunky with lots of thick bristles on it so I wasn't sure how easy this would be to apply without making a bit of a mess, particularly on my shorter lower lashes. However it caused no problems but I have to point out that there is always a blob of the mascara at the tip of the brush which I have to wipe off at the side before applying.
- The effect -
Opting for the pitch black shade in this mascara, I definitely noticed a difference in the length of volume of my eyelashes. No curl was evident on my lower lashes but if I carefully work the brush upwards from the roots of my upper lashes there is a slight curl.
The mascara dries quickly which is a positive as quite a few mascaras that I have used in the past don't dry very quickly and when I close my eyelids some of the mascara on the tips of my bottom lashes touches under my eyes leaving a mark. Not so with this one.
- Overall -
I have been impressed with the effects of this mascara on my not so long already black eyelashes. It lengthens and adds volume as promised but I can't go so far to say that it makes me look as if I have eyelash extensions in place - it isn't a miracle worker!
As it promises, I haven't experienced any smudging or flaking although I haven't been underwater with it on to test the waterproof nature of the product.... Unlike some other brands this is relatively easy to remove with most eye make-up removers I have and even at times with soap and warm water when the remover hasn't been available.
A good mascara and better than some other brands I have used at around about the same price, the only minor disadvantage is the slightly odd smell that it has although it can only be smelt if you smell the brush, it doesn't linger on you!
Thanks for reading :-)

As a fan of the Too Faced range, I have been wanting to try this mascara for such a long time now!
As always, first things first, the packaging! The packaging is quite simple yet still cute with it's striking pink on black logo, it's a nice size too, a bit chunkier than some mascaras which makes it feel nice and easy to hold.
The brush itself is quite huge too, not clumsy huge, but nice huge, if that makes sense lol! It's very good for coating all the lashes quite easily, but not so big that it's clumsy to use, I've had some *cough*No7ExtravagentLashes*cough* that are so big you just stab yourself in the eye.. This is not like that ;)
The mascara isn't gloopy, it doesn't drip off the brush like some can, it's actually quite thick in consistency if anything. I also find that it doesn't smudge that easy, and dries very quickly too which is good if, like me, you tend to blink a lot after applying your eye make up, oh the wipes I have wasted just clearing mascara away!
As for the appearence of the lashes, I'm quite impressed! They certainly look fuller and volumized, and probably a bit longer too, but I've noticed more volume than length, which is fine for me anyway.
The mascara lasts a long time too without running, even in the rain! ;) I have been wearing it during work, where I tend to get a wee bit sweaty, and it hasn't yet run once! Very happy with that!
The price is pretty fair for a mascara too, just a tiny bit more than average at around £13-14, all in all I'm very impressed with this product, it's easy to use, lasts all day without making me look like a panda, and I do think it definitely makes my lashes look fuller and longer. :)
I love thick, long eyelashes. So much so, in fact, that I never go on a night out without a pair of fake lashes on.
I have tried my fair share of mascaras over the years. Now I am not the type of person that falls for the age old claim "gives the appearence of false lashes" because it NEVER does- it's impossible! I am always up for trying something new though, and Boots was having a 3 for 2, so decided to give lash injection a go.
Lash Injection is one of these formulas that creates a "tube" around each lash. This means that each lash is individually coated and therefore becomes smudgeproof and somewhat water-resistant without being too hard to remove. (warm water usually does the job) I took this mascara on holiday with me and it does hold up rather well underwater, so long as you don't rub your eyes too much.
I like this mascara if I am looking for a more natural look, ie during the day. This would be fine if it were not for the fact that Too Faced claims that Lash Injection is the exact opposite of natural. I also find that it becomes less intense as the day goes on as it does start to flake off on me.
A lot of people love big, fat mascara brushes but I hate them. I find them too hard to control and too difficult to get into the finer eyelashes and also the roots of the lashes. I wouldn't put this as a negative however as I was aware of the size of the brush when I bought it!
This mascara could be considered quite pricey at around £12, but there is twice as much product in here than standard mascaras so bear that in mind.
Too Faced Lash Injection isn't for me. Some people some may love it. I don't think it is a bad mascara, so don't not buy it based on this review. Just consider that it may not be as fantastic as it claims to be.
This is such a great mascara! the brush is really fat and gets lots of the lashs so you get great volume. I find a good technique with this is to do a zig zag pattern. It extends the lashes alot and fills really smooth as you apply it to the lashes. It seems to condition the lashes too! It just makes my lashes feel really volumized and really black. It doesn't clump at all and I have had it for a while still with no clumps.
In terms of colour I have found that the black is great for evenings as it can contribute to the "smokey eye effect". The applicator picked up a good amount of the mascara and is not too fiddly. The mascara holder is pretty and the pink writing shows up at the bottom of my handbag - convenient!
Its great and not too pricey either. Would definately buy again. The only down point is the brush can prove to be not so effective at reaching tiny lashes as it is thick but its fine with practise.
Too Faced is a makeup company started in 1998. The company was created by 2 men known as Jerrod Blanding and Jeremy Johnson. The slogan behind the company is "Why be pretty when you can be gorgeous?".
The Too Faced range is quite extensive and includes makeup for the lips, eyes and face as well as accessories and gift sets.
There are currently 4 different mascaras in the Too Faced range. One of these is the Lash Injection.
Lash Injection is a mascara which aims to thicken and lengthen your lashes. This allows you to appear to have lash extensions without the need for expensive treatments! The mascara is also promoted as being waterproof and it will not flake, smudge or streak during its wear. It also contains elastic polymer which allows your lashes to curl without the need for a seperate curling device.
The mascara is available in the following colours :
The full size mascara comes in a rather long and thick black tube with a screw off lid. The information on the tube is in a pink colour allowing it to be very noticable against the black background. The company logo is present alongside the Lash Injection logo inside a syringe/mascara style wand. Other information includes the company address.
The mascara should be disposed of 6months after first opening to avoid contamination.
Unscrewing the lid, you will find the built in wand. The wand is very long covers the majority of the tube. The end of the wand is home to a rather large, application brush. The brush is of the bristle type. It is rather thick and combines several bristles into one soft yet sturdy brush. The brush has a build in 3d lash coating technology to reach every lash with ease.
Too Faced recommend 2 different application techniques to suit your needs.
If you are going for the natural look, it is recommended that you apply this mascara to the tips of your eyelashes only. This is easy to do and takes no time at all. This would be perfect for normal, day to day or work use.
If you want a dramatic effect, sweep the mascara brush from root to tip whilst gently giving a little wiggle from side to side (the brush I mean..not your hips). This would be perfect for a night out or party etc.
**Availability and Price**
I have checked online for stockists and this doesn't seem to be as widely available over here.
Amazon have it listed at £13.50 for the 13.5ml size. Ebay have the Electric Blue at £4.99 and the Pitch Black and Hot Chocolate shades at around the £10.00 mark.
I don't wear makeup half as much as I used to. Having a toddler running around has left me little time to pamper myself. On the occassions where I do get a chance to put some slap on, I like it all to be fairly natural looking. My face ensemble using consists off a light powder or tinted moisturiser, a light sweep of blush, a natural lip balm or gloss, a sweep of black eyeliner and to top it off..a swish of black mascara.
I have often been told that my eyes are my best feature. They are blue and not massive so I like to open them up a bit and make the most of them. Because I wear something nude on my lips, I can safely add a bit extra to my eyes without looking like a clown or overdone.
Too Faced is a name that I recognise but didn't really know a lot about. Although it is up the higher end of the cosmetic market, I don't believe it to be as widely available as the likes of Clinique and Lancome. I don't personally think I have even sold this brand on my ebay account. I actually came across this mascara after purchasing a job lot of makeup on ebay. I was in need of a new mascara as my No7 one was getting a bit by its best so I snapped this one up for myself! Here are my views!
The tube is very chunky...not quite as chunky as that awful No7 Extravaggant Lashes but big all the same. That is to be expected though as you are getting 13.5ml of mascara which is above the usual amount for standard mascaras. The black with the pink writing is sleek and stylish and all the information I should need is on the tube.
The brush applicator is bigger than what I am used to..I felt this might pose a problem as my lashes aren't exactly massive and the bottom set are tiny. This mascara supposedly has a 3d lash covering technology and a curling agent. So does it?
I use a free standing mirror for applying my makeup. My mascara is the last makeup item to be applied. The brush when pulled out, releases a reasonable amount of mascara and I didn't feel the need to scrape any off. This is ideal as it means you aren't wasting any and it reduces the crustiness around the top of your mascara tube.
I found the wand quite easy to hold despite its thickness and began to swish the mascara brush from the root to tip of my top lashes. The colour *pitch black* was instantly noticable and after using the little wiggle technique, the brush swept through my lashes effortlessly. I found it a bit more difficult trying to get into my lower lashes as the brush is so big. To save time and potential eyepoking incidents, I gently closed my eye to allow the top half to lightly coat the bottom half and this worked a treat.
The mascara dried quite quickly and I was impressed with the results. My eyelashes at the top had certainly curled upwards and the colour was dark and very noticable without looking fake. The lower lashes were lightly coloured and looked just right. My rather short lashes had been given a new lease of life and were thick but not overly so. No spider legs in site. I could notice a considerable difference in the length of my lashes and was very impressed!
If I am just going out for a few hours, I find one coat sufficient. If I am going out for the day, I allow the first coat to dry and add a second sweep. This provides a more dramatic and sexy look which makes my eyes feel beautiful and make me a bit more confident in myself. Even hubby noticed and commented on my lashes.
The mascara claims to be waterproof and you shouldn't experience flaking or smudging. I can safely say that these claims were fullfilled. I had my mascara on for most of the day in hot weather and it was still put when I came home at night. I often suffer from runny eyes and the mascara withstood this obstacle well so thumbs up for that! To remove, I simply used a fragrance free baby wipe and the mascara came off in a few gentle sweeps.
The price may seem a bit high for this but I feel its due to its lack of availability and this certainly bumps it up. You do get alot for your money with the bigger tube and the mascara does everything it claims to so in my opinion, worth that extra few pounds.
I would highly recommend it!!!
Thanks for reading :)
I think mascara is one of the most essential beauty products as it really finishes off your look and defines your eyes, that's why I'll only settle for the best when it comes to them and am willing to try all to find it.
I heard rave reviews about this mascara mainly for the super sized brush and long lasting formula but was reluctant to pay £15 for it so decided to just ask my aunt to but it for me as a Christmas present as it was only a month away.
I was soo excited to use it and my aunt even came up to my house in the morning so I would have the mascara to use for that day as I love to make as much as an effort as I can on special occasions but having trusted it to make my eyes look amazing on an important day i was severely let down.
This really is the worst mascara I've used, 99p store brands have given me a better look!
First of all the smell is horrendous, as soon as you go to apply it you get a strong whiff of super glue and you're almost inclined to think you may go blind if you poke the wand the wrong way, however I was sure this must be to do with the 'long lasting' quality and went ahead and applied it anyway.
The formula looks super creamy on the brush but then instantly dries to a flaky finish when you put it on, it was horrible I had to remove my eye makeup and start again with a different mascara.
Even having this bad experience first time round I thought well why now try it again on a day where I'll be at home for the most part and yep, I had the very same problem.
Checking again there seems to be as many bad reviews as good out there for this mascara so I guess it's to do with the individual and their preferences but I'd never go near it again!
Too Faced is a great, glamorous, edgy-yet-girly brand with pretty packaging and a great motto - "why be pretty when you can be gorgeous?" I was already a big fan of their lip plumping "lip injection" gloss, and as a big mascara fan - its the one makeup item i always wear every day - i was very exited about trying out their mascara offering, Lash Injection.
I haven't been disapointed. (Once i shook off the horrifying mental image of a needle coming at my eye) Lash injection has a lovely thick brush with close together bristles that coat the lashes evenly and without clumping. Because the brush is so large and thick, lashes get coated quickly, and a couple of coats is easily enough for daytime, perfect if you're in a rush to go out. It stays on really well, and doesn't leave you with panda-like smudges. The only bad thing i could think to say is that it has an odd smell, but that fades quickly, and you only really notice it when you first open the tube.
I love mascara. As far as I'm concerned I don't look awake or even very good without it and the bigger the better is my motto when it comes to eyelashes. I can never find a good enough mascara to satisfy my massive eyelash need and I tend to leave mascara and stick with my false eyelashes instead. But when I saw this particular one on sale in Boots for around £10 I thought Id give it a shot. Forget little lashes, size definitely matters!
This mascara is described by the makers as 'Extreme Thickening and Lengthening Mascara' and is said to make even the tiniest, thinnest of lashes bigger and blacker with just a few strokes. I was really hoping that this would work because my lashes are naturally tiny and sort of blond even though I am a brunette, so I had very high hopes for this mascara.
You apply it the same way you do as any mascara which is pretty simple and you apply as much or a little as you like. I found that it doesnt clump on eyelashes even though the mascara appears to be pretty thick. The mascara in the tube actually smells slightly of perfume which was quite nice and surprised me as Ive never found that with mascara's in the past but Ive found this smell doesnt transfer once you have applied it and it will not irritate your eyes in the slightest. Unless you poke yourself with the brush that is! Lol
There nothing overly special about the brush, its maybe a bit longer than usual mascara's but no distinctive special shape or anything. Easy to control and doesnt make the mascara go all over your eyelids like some do so that's definitely a bonus!
Anyway the results. After application which always takes me a lot of time no matter what mascara I use simply because I wear so much. I was pretty pleased with the end results and best of all no clumps in sight. It had certainly made my lashes look a lot thicker and blacker and the looked as if they generally had more volume but as for the lengthening I don't think it worked. I had to apply another mascara over the top in order to make my lashes longer. So this mascara only delivered on half of its promise but it did do a great job on the volume so I cant really criticise.
Overall this product does work but not well enough to warrant paying full whack for it every time I need a new mascara. I think you end up paying for the brand name rather than the excellent results it should give at this price. It is worth a try and great if your looking to treat yourself every now and again but not if your on a budget because it's not that good. A cheaper mascara could probably deliver the same results.
I recommend for people who are not on a budget.
I think this mascara is around £13 for 13.5ml but it does last quite a while so it's sort of worth it.

I purchased this from hammonds, and it was 12.50. Its now the only mascara i will use. its a really thick brush, so lifts well. my eye lashes usually needed curling before applying any brand of mascara, but this one, does it for me. My eye lashes are left smooth, and i use HEAPS of mascara (you dont need too, two coatswill do with this brand, im just obsessed) and they never clump.
I love the packaging too, with its black container and pink, feminie writing, i know thats not what you buy it for, but toofaced generally make all of their products stand out and appealing to girly girls.
i would definatley reccomend this to a friend, you can also get a mini version, handy for your purse on those wild nights out!
The only downside is you have to go to a shop unless you want to ship from the states.
Like the lip injection plumping lip gloss from Too Faced, I was pleasantly surprised when I found that this product actually did, unlike so many others I've bought in the past, what it said on the tin! A couple of coatings gave me great definition and really long, thick lashes without any clumping whatsoever. Like other products from Too Faced you don't really get as much as you'd like for your money and the price is regrettably a bit steep, But the brush is really nice and the Pitch Black variety gave me really nice dark lashes, without the need to apply loads. Another definate plus is the consistancy of the mascara itself; it's not too thick to clump, and not thin to the point where you end up with more on your face than your lashes, making it really smooth and easy to apply even with prolongued use. One of my favourite mascaras.
I'm not big on mascara - I'll wear it for a night out but rarely at any other time. So when my friend suggested I buy her kindon a shopping trip, I wasn't particularly thrilled to find out it was £13!
However, I believe that with most makeup you get what you pay for, and after listening to her enthusing for a few minutes, I agreed it would be an investment and bought it from Boots (for the points of course).
The tube is black with pink lettering and holds 13.5 ml. It's described as 'Extreme Thickening and Lengthening Mascara' in small letters. I would say this is a fairly accurate description, though it would probably have a much stronger effect on someone with lighter and thinner eyelashes than me - mine are pretty much black.
It's a straightforward mascara without gimicks. The brush is fairly long; about half the length of my little finger, and quite dense and thick. The mascara itself is quite thick but not lumpy, and I find that it doesn't clump very much if at all on application, which is a definite bonus. To me that's one of the most important things about mascara. It does smell a bit weird - kind of like pVA glue mixed with paint and a hint of perfumy scent, but you can't smell it when it's on so I can't see it's a problem.
This mascara has lasted me for ages and as it's such good quality and saves me time trying to sort my eyelashes out after applying, I'd say it's worth it above a lot of cheap mascaras out there. However, having said that it's not amazingly revolutionary and if you aren't very bothered about mascara you may as well go for mid rather than top range.
My lashes are quite short and annoying so I've been forever searching for the perfect mascara to give them length, volume and curl as I've got none of these qualities naturally. I was really thrilled to coma cross this mascara in my local boots as the description of this was just what I was looking for.
I read that this mascara will thicken, extend and curl your lashes without smudging throughout the day and removing it shouldn't be a problem either. They describe this mascara as creating little tubes around your lashes and when you want to remove them, they'll come off like little socks. How funny I thought but was so curious to try this I just had to get it and try it right away.
I got this mascara for £12.50 from Boots.
This mascara has got quite a large, thick brush and the product is very black and quite thick in consistency. As I applied it to my lashes in wiggly strokes, I could definitely tell that it made them very thick, almost twice as long and gave them a very nice curl. I just adore the false lash look and this is definitely what I got in 2 coats.
It looks a bit more natural on in just one coat but I wouldn't say that this is the mascara that you should go for it you are trying to achieve a natural look.
One thing I would say though is don't load on too much at a time as you might get clumps but you can build up to get the desired effect once you've applied a coat.
I really like this product and find that it wears perfectly; it doesn't smudge or budge at all and lasts me all day (or night). It's also very easy to remove; I simply take it off with my make up remover wipes or in the shower with my facial soap and warm water and they just come off in little tubes. They actually do remind me of little socks for my lashes LOL.
I really love this mascara and highly recommend this for people looking for the more dramatic and false lash effects as that is exactly what you'll get. It's budge and smear proof and comes off very easily (a lot easier than all my other mascaras) and at just £12.50, it's not as pricey as other high end brands but you'll definitely get the results!
Too Faced are one of my favourite brands and when I found out they made a mascara that claims to give you the look of lash extensions 'without the cash or commitment' I thought it was definitely worth checking out.
This mascara comes with a bigger brush than most other mascaras that I've tried, which makes it a bit fiddly when trying to get at the lashes in the corners of your eyes. I also find that the brush seems to touch my eyelids when I'm applying the mascara, leaving black dots everywhere! They have brought out a new version of this though with a smaller brush.
It really does transform your eyelashes when you have finished applying it. As you're applying it it leaves little 'tubes' of black stuff over your eyelashes, making them appear a *lot* longer than usual. It can be easy to go overboard though and end up looking like a doll, but if you're careful the end result is stunning.
This mascara doesn't seem to run like other mascaras I've tried, if I accidentally rub my eyes it just seems to leave a few bits of black powder on my face. Also whenever I've got my face wet it doesn't seem to run, although the product doesn't claim to be waterproof. One problem with this though is that it can be really hard to remove, as even my makeup remove doesn't seem to budge it! They've bought out an 'antidote' to remedy this, although it doesn't seem worth the money.
Overall this is a lovely mascara that gives great results, it can be a bit tricky to apply and remove though.
On a recent splurge in Boots my attention was drawn over to a make up stand promoting what seemed to be quite a new and rather pricey make up range something which I should avoid at all costs! The Too Faced range was first introduced to the make up market back in 1998 and has a reputation for being fun, glamourous and trendy with quite unique product names and cute, girly packaging. The range includes all your typical products including bronzers, eye shadows, foundations, mascaras, etc.
The Lash Injection mascara comes in a black box with a product description inscribed on the box in a hot pink colour, this promises you lash extensions in a tube! The actual mascara comes in quite a thick black tube which again has the customary hot pink writing on. The packaging itself reminds me slightly of the Benefit brand as do the innovative product names. The product itself only comes in one shade currently which is black and the product itself has quite a strong smell to it; rather acidic and it reminds me of nail varnish remover somewhat.
The mascara is applied by simply unscrewing the lid which actually has a brush on one end of it, similar to the majority of mascaras out there. The brush itself is a little thicker than normal brushes that Ive used in the past and the mascara does appear to be slightly clumpy on the brush when you first pull it out of the tube. To apply the mascara simply look upwards and brush the wand over your lashes in an upwards motion to add volume. I always find its best to give lashes two or three coats of the mascara to my lashes as it simply increases the effects of the mascara.
The mascara boasts to have extreme plumping action and to give you sky scraper length while the larger than average brush offers to give you a separated clump-free application. After doing a bit of research into the product I discovered that he way it works is to build 3D style tubes around each of your individual lashes which results in adding length and volume to all lashes. The mascara contains elastic polymers which curl around your natural lashes to give these effects. So these were the reasons I chose this mascara along with a certain urge to splurge!
And the result? My lashes definitely appear to have more volume than with other mascaras Ive used in the past although I dont think they necessarily appear longer than when bare without mascara. The colour is a really solid, deep black which I always strive to achieve whenever I buy a new mascara. I tend to apply the mascara first thing in the morning and have found that it lasts all day without the need to re-apply to increase the volume during the day. The mascara does take 10 15 seconds to dry as with other mascaras so do try not to blink too much straight after applying it.
If you accidentally rub your eyes then dont worry, the mascara wont smudge a millimetre from your lashes which is always reassuring! My only real qualm with this mascara is removing it, its incredibly stubborn to get off Ive tried using soap and water and my usual No 7 eye make up remover but Im still left with a smudgy black residue under my eyes the next morning. Although it doesnt actually say if its water proof or not it is said to be weather resistant so Im guessing this would include being water proof perhaps a reason to invest in some new eye make up remover!
This mascara is available from larger Boots stores at present and retails at £12.50 which is slightly more expensive than other brands such as LOreal or Maybelline. However Id certainly splash out those few extra pounds to purchase this again as Im really impressed with the effects. The tube contains 13ml of product which seems quite standard with many other mascaras and therefore Id expect it to last a good six months like my previous mascaras.
Thanks for reading!
