Advantages: Fabulous box - Girly fun for teenagers and grownups

Disadvantages: Some of the products aren't top quality

Too faced make up was created by two experienced make-up artists who wanted to put fun and glamour into their products. The result is a range of cute, fun products, with a vintage vibe - A bit like Benefit and Soap and Glory.

Too faced have created a range of cosmetics which shout "old Hollywood glamour" and the "World Domination Kit" definitely shouts this loudly.

The best thing about this is the box - If you're not into frivolous and decorative items, and paying for the packaging then this might not be for you - but it suits me perfectly. The kit opens like an old fashioned children's jewellery box - and plays a tune while a figurine twirls and dances. It's super cute. The box and package lives up to the Too Faced statement "Why be pretty when you can be gorgeous?" The box makes for a lovely jewellery, make-up or keepsake box once the products are used up.

The make up colours are pretty vivid - but I think there is something in this to suit most ages and skin tones. The lip-gloss is nice, and not too sticky, but the eyeliner didn't really work for me, and the blush and bronzer are a bit too sparkly for me - I think the products here are best for a vivid night-time look. This fits with the Too Faced philosophy of spicing up and supplementing instead of replacing the other items in your make up box. In terms of the quality of the make up - I don't think that this really stands up to Benefit, or other premium brands, but it is certainly as good as most of the standard make-up ranges.

The collection includes:
8 eyeshadows - (Brown, Pink, Yellow, Silver, Black, White, Blue & Green) each 0.89g
6 lip glosses - each 0.85g
brow powder, 1.4g
eyeliner powder, 1.4g
blush powder, 1.68g
shimmer powder, 1.68g
bronzer powder, 1.68g

I paid £25 for these at christmas, (and received one as a gift too - yey!) - but they are now on sale for £19.50 at HQ Hair at the mo. Might get some more in as a stock of presents if funds allow - because I don't think anyone would be disappointed with this as a gift. This set is a great gift for teenagers, and little girls will love it, even if it isn't suitable for them - My cousins 5 year old was trying to get her hands on this for the whole of Christmas day. The value offered is excellent - I think it would cost about £75 to get all the colours and products available here separately - although here they are obviously less portable, and a bit smaller than the stand alone products.

Summary: Makes for a great gift

That is very cheap - I thought Too Faced was more of a premium brand as their mascara is upwards of £13.
