My 'essentials' make-up bag is slowly but surely becoming entirely UNE products. I've definitely become a bit of an addict but these make-up items are definitely the best I've ever used and I thought it was time to give their lipsticks ago. I opted for a lipstick in their 'lip toned' range, the 2g product costing £7.99 from the likes of Boots and Superdrug. UNE make-up can be a little pricey compared to other high street make-up brands although the quality is noticeably better so I don't mind that really. This lipstick comes in a fifteen different shades all 'inspired by the natural colour of lips'. You won't find any striking reds or vibrant pinks in this range but there are plenty of neutral colours to compliment the natural colour of your lips which I find make this lipstick perfect for an everyday minimalistic look. The range of colours means there is something to suit all skin tones too, obviously a 'natural' colour inspired by the lips of a pale person isn't going to look so natural on the lips of a dark skinned person and vice versa and UNE obviously took this into account when creating these different shades. I have shade L05 which is a nude pink shade that does actually closely resemble my lips colour; this just brightens the colour up a little bit and evens it out creating a more flawless natural look. 100% of the ingredients in this lipstick are from natural origin with 22% of the ingredients coming from natural farming. This lipstick is eco certified and not tested on animals and 100% natural tomato leaf fragrance is used. This is quite a 'green' product but the quality certainly isn't compromised to allow this. As the picture supplied by Dooyoo shows, the lipstick is housed in white box shaped plastic with the colour shown on the bottom. Taking off the lid reveals the lipstick contained in a silver tube and, as usual, you just twist the bottom to reveal more or less of the lipstick when applying it. The lipstick is oval with a flat slanted tip for easy application. This lipstick glides onto the lips easily and the shape of the product means it's easy to get into the corners of your lips without getting this everywhere. The lipstick is highly pigmented and transfers to the lips well, two coats usually give the 'full' effect of this lipstick. It gives even coloured lips which look smooth and feel soft. The lipstick is highly moisturising and gives a matte finish but looks just as good with a little clear lip gloss over the top if you prefer a glossier look. The staying power of this is average though. You'll get around two to three hours out of this although it does come off a lot sooner if eating and drinking so I do tend to carry mine around with me just for the occasional top up. In conclusion, I do like this lipstick. The range of colours is lovely and it gives a beautiful natural looking result without causing any dryness to my lips. Although it doesn't have the worst staying power I've ever encountered from such a product it's not the best either and I do wish it'd last a little longer. Still, given how easy it is to just re-apply it from time to time I'd definitely purchase this again in another colour and still recommend it.
