Advantages: Gives a lovely colour, available in various shades, lasts all day

Disadvantages: The price, doesn't come with a mirror/brush

Bronzer is part of my daily make up routine so I am always on the look out for a good product, and I recently bought this Urban Decay 'baked' bronzer as a little treat for myself. This bronzer is available in any shop that stocks Urban Decay make up and currently costs £20.00.

The bronzer is available in 3 shades - baked, toasted and gilded. Baked is a warm brown shade with shimmer in it. Toasted is a matte shade and the darkest of the three. Gilded is a golden bronze shade with shimmer and little flecks of gold. I chose the baked shade as I felt this would suit me the best.

Urban Decay advertise this bronzer as being made in a unique way - they claim it is a fine powder which is baked on a terra cotta disc for 24hours. So it is 'baked' in the literal sense of the word! The powder comes in a 7.5g compact. The base is a golden colour and the lid is clear with the Urban Decay logo and the name of the product on it. You can see the product through the lid.

The product should be applied using a large powder brush. I swirl the brush in the product then dust it over my face as well as my neck/shoulders depending on what I am wearing. This product can also apparently be applied to the body using a damp sponge to create a bronzed look, however I have never used it in this way. When using this on my face I always apply it over foundation, although it could be used on bare skin for those of you lucky enough not to need foundation!

I find the baked shade makes my skin a lovely brown colour and gives it a nice shimmer. It is a very natural shade and isn't too dark or orange. The product applies evenly and there are no streaks or patches. When I have used this product it lasts me all day and I do not need to reapply, which is a must have for me with a bronzer.

This bronzer in the baked shade is medium bronze in my opinion. As we are now coming into the winter months and I have lost my lovely summer tan, I find it is a little bit too dark for day to day use, and instead I save this product for an evening out when I am wearing fake tan on my body. The product makes my face the same colour as my body. However for those of you with darker skin this product could be used during the day as well for a fairly natural look. Alternatively you could choose the gilded shade which is a bit lighter than the baked, which is probably what I would do in the future.

I do think at £20.00 this product is quite expensive, as there are many more bronzing products available out there that are much cheaper. For this reason I keep this product for special occasions and use a cheaper bronzer for work. Also for the price of £20.00 I would expect the product to have either a mirror or a brush included, neither of which are included, so for this reason I take one star off and give this product 4 stars.

Thanks for reading/rating and I hope you found my review useful.
