Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara

Another makeup review for me. This time Urban Decay. So as most of you know, I have worked in makeup and skincare for a year or so now. I love trying and testing things, as I have extremely high standards as to what I regularly wear on my skin. Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara £14 at Boots (or sometimes they have overs for a two pack so if you know someone that is also wanting this mascara, the two pack tends to be cheaper) The mascara tube is very eye-catching (like most Urban Decay products) as the tube is very colourful with 'Big Fatty Mascara' printed in pink and a purple lid. When you take the mascara out of the tube the 'wand' is very large and thick - which is the type of mascara that I like. Now I have never really been drawn to the Urban Decay range of make up - even though it is a well known big designer name. To be honest I am not sure why, it just never seemed to appeal to me. The first time I used this Big Fatty Mascara is when I was bought it as a birthday present. I was pretty impressed at the box it came in, and the design on the tube. Both were very bright and stood out. I was given Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara in black as a gift for Christmas. My initial thoughts revolved around the packaging, it is a very cool looking mascara. The Mascara tube has a retro 60's vibe to it with the colourful pattern and the purple handle. The label on the side of the mascara says that it is a thickening and lengthening mascara and so this is what I was expecting it to do. I would say that this mascara does a reasonable job of lengthening my lashes but does not appear to have made them significantly thicker, which is a bit of a let down considering the fact that it is called 'Big Fatty'. Im a huge fan of Urban Decay so when my sister bought me this for Christmas i was so excited. Big Fatty Mascara! I thought the name said it all...sadly i was wrong. For quite an expensive mascara, its not worth it. This is the only Urban Decay product ive been dissapointed by. Ok, so it made my eyelashes feel pretty good compared to some ive used before but it didnt do what i expected it to, not even close. For a mascara that cost nearly £15, it should have been pretty amazing.
