I love to go naked.
I bet that got your attention, didn't it?
I'm talking about my lips. But sometimes I like to have a bit of extra sexiness and femininity with a splash of colour on my mouth. I still, however, desire the nude look.
I have a few lipsticks that need a lip liner pencil otherwise there's a slight change of colour tone on the edges of my lips. This is why I went for naked and as it turns out nude rather suits me.
I love that I've added a bit of spice to my lips. The lip pencil that I own is actually referred to as 'Naked' 24/7 and I bought it a long while ago from Boots so, for me, I think it will last for years. It's waterproof too going by the times I've missed my mouth when drinking...water.
It's not what everyone would take to be as nude. The lip pencil is brownish with a pink tint, but luckily for me, this still seems to blend in perfectly with my dark skin.
The pencil works with all deep and warm colours. I won't put it with anything paler as I think it will show up too much. As I said, earlier, I love to go naked.
I do not judge this to be a lip pencil for people with pale skin and light lip pigmentation. This is for dark skin and I press it on very lightly to keep it as close to natural as possible. It feels smooth against my skin and around my lips. It is very easy to apply. The lip pencil gives definition and helps my lips to look shapely. You could use it to fill in the lips as an alternative to lipstick but I've never tried this. As to longevity, I've had no problems there. It lasts the duration of the night out. It has not caused any skin irritations around my mouth.
I've been told celebrities enjoy wearing this. I don't care so much about that but about how much of a celebrity I feel with this on. I'll let you know just how much of a celebrity I feel by the number of stars at the end of this review!
I'm afraid it does come with a celebrity price tag of around twelve pounds. Oh, but I do love to go naked!
Urban Decay has recently released an updated version of their lip pencils. I've seen these in store and on their website, they are a great improvement to the old lip pencils. I'm not actually sure if they still sell the old versions because I haven't seen them anywhere and they've done the same with their lipsticks. They've also launched new lipsticks to replace the old version
Now, the reason why I think that these new lip liners are so awesome, is because they're the lip equivalent of the 24/7 eye liners that I love so much. Just like the eye liners, these lip pencils come in awesome vibrant colours, come in creamy, easy to glide on textures and last for ages, just like the eye liners!
They are waterproof, which is great for going out in and having loads of drinks. These come in 6 different shades and are about 9 pounds like the eye pencils. I like to line my lips but also colour them in and then put my lippy over them, so that when I go out for drinks, my lip colour pretty much won't budge! (The lipstick might fade but the pencil won't).
So this 24/7 lip pencil comes highly recommended by me for all the lipstick wearers out there. It also looks pretty with gloss and you can even smudge them before they set, to give a softer look. For a liner under 10 pounds, you can't go wrong with this one!
