Urban Decay Mascara

Urban decay big fatty mascara, well it has great packaging, which was what initially made me notice it enough to read about it and then eventually buy it. Urban decay claim that with this mascara and i quote "Simply apply one coat of Big Fatty & let dry completely for doe-eyed, look-at-me lashes. This is a completely incorrect claim, seriously one coat does nothing at all. It also claims that you will have lashes so luscious they will look like false, again so not true. I have 2 daughters who are lucky enough to have inherited very dark & long eyelashes from my husband but they both like to use mascara. Unforunately my eyelashes are very fair & seem to be, will old age, disappearing by the day! My younger daughter aged 17 is really into make-up in a big way & hinted before Christmas that she would love Urban Decay eyeliner & mascara as a present. Urban Decay's Big Fatty Mascara was such a dissappointment! The packaging was excellent, a sort of 60's style of flowers and free love! Unfortunately I wasn't getting any love from this Mascara. Big Fatty Mascara has a big fat body which supposed to be easy to apply, it wasn't. I found the bulky handling, and the huge brush really a pain to use! Perhaps I could of lived with that, but I had to give it about 3 coats of mascara just to make a difference to my lashes! I found that it caked onto my lashes and it just looked and felt terrible. I bought Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara with high hopes. I had read about it in a magazine and it had sounded great. The packaging looked fun and funky so I was looking forward to using a great product. Big Fatty Mascara is said to 'create the fullest, fattest lashes imaginable.' This was NOT the case. The mascara took many coats to actually make any impression on my eyelashes. It took about 3 coats for the mascara to change the shape of my eyelashes at all, and this was after I had curled them. I've got 2 Urban Decay mascaras. I usually tend to stick to my favourite Lancome mascaras, as these are the best ones I've tried by far, however, Urban Decay brought out these cute blue, purple and plum shades, I just had to try them. The colours I bough were purple and electric blue. It read on the box that these colours would compliment brown eyes and I couldn't wait to see the effect on me! It truly did make my eyes pop! The purple was very vibrant and pretty and complimented the colour of my eyes like a dream! The blue is cute for summer and goes nicely with the blue 24/7 liners from Urban Decay.
