      Absolutely fabulous!

      Urban Decay
      Vegan Palette

I have been enjoying using Urban Decay's 'animal friendly' products for a while now and have powders, eye liner and eye make up which is really good. I discovered this brand when I was researching 'cruelty free' cosmetic options and boy have I appreciated this brand. Never before have I had such dramatic and amazing finishes to my make up application. This palette is something that I have wanted for ages but it was going to have to be a treat as it was £27.00 - mum bought it me for christmas but it was on offer on the 3 for 2 cosmetics offer at Boots so that worked out alot cheaper.

The palette is suitable for vegans as you would expect with it being titled as a 'vegan' palette - the marley's paw (a symbol of a purple paw print that identifies vegan items online and in the staff Urban Decay handbook instore) has been removed temporarily because the eyeshadow primer, that comes in a free trial size, has had a ingredient that comes from wool called Lanolate added to the product - they have quickly identified this and put a notice on the website. All the eyeshadows and eyeliner are fine for vegans it is just the primer and they say to give it away to a non vegan friend. The problem should be resolved in the near future and at least they have been honest to their valued vegan customers.

The palette is very well presented and has minimal and non fussy packaging that is easy to remove. The design of the palette is creative and appealing, it looks quality and is tough so will withstand a drop or two. It includes a good sized mirror inside the upper flap and is compact for ease of use when travelling too. Easily packed away in a bag or case.

Six of the most popular and gorgeous mix and match colours are presented in this handy box. They are three neutral shades and three sparkly and adventurous colours.

Twice Baked, Half Baked, Smog are the neutral and range from a lovely light golden creamy colour to a real dark diva smokey eyed brown - these apply so easily I cannot believe it. They are so creamy and moisturising and create a gorgeous base or complete look - really dramatic if you like and I do at times so this is fabulous.

Minx, Urb and Gunmetal are your fun and sparkly numbers - so far I have experimented with these under my eyes as a liner and they apply so easily - this is impressive and a first for me as I have tried to apply colour and create a glam effect so many times and failed and then on my very first attempt and I must say without putting much thought or effort in to the application I had this amazing look - these eye shadows are quality and with the shades in the palette you have so many options for a multitude of effects, I am excited and can't wait to try out different ways of applying.

Also included in this palette is a travel sized eyeliner in black which is the very popular 24/7 variety. Now I have already got one of these but will certainly not refuse another as this is a favourite of mine. This has vitamin E included in the ingredients and is becoming ever more well known and popular because of its ease of application which is ultra smooth - no dragging with this pencil. The effects are gorgeous and in my experience it does what it says and lasts all day and into the night. I have not needed to reapply at any time - now that is good!

The eye primer is a wonderful product and ensures an all day crease free look on your eye lids - this will be a welcome item once fully vegan but for any one who is not vegan you will love it - it works!

I am really impressed with this product and with this company who strive to produce a top quality range of beautiful cosmetics that work and compliment your complexion (Razor Sharp Powder for a photo ready finish is another top product that I wouldn't be without) and they do all this whilst avoiding harming any animals and even cater for vegans!

Available from Boots and online at Urban Decay - plus other places online if you google it.
Price approximately £27.00 depending on where you buy from. Look out for the 3 for 2 offers at Boots as that will work out lots cheaper for you.

Would I recommend this product - most certainly yes. It is a handy and compact palette full of a great range of base and jazzy shades of eye makeup and includes one of their best products in my opinion - the 24/7 eye pencil. There is an eye primer potion included but this is not vegan friendly at this time - apologies via the Urban Decay website. Not just for vegans! Anyone will enjoy this palette and we are worth it.

      Thank you for reading.
