The Tin
The tin is of a simple design but it is well recognised as Vaseline. The colour of the tin consists of green and white. The Lid is split in to two with the top half's background in green with the following written in white. Lip Therapy with Aloe Vera, Trade mark and the name of the product Vaseline. The bottom half of lids background with petroleum jelly, pocket size written in green. The side of the tin lid is also in green and white, the top side of the lid has something written in Dutch and bottom side of the lid has soothes dry skin and lips on it. The whole of the bottom of the tins background is green and writing again in white. On the bottom is the ingredients list which include petrolatum, aroma, isopropyl myristate, aloe barbadensis, citral, citronellol, eugenol, limonene and linalool. Also is written is a unilever brand, made in Norway and the weight which is 20g. Along the side of the bottom of the tin is the address in the UK, Ireland and Norway.
My Opinion
As I have previously mentioned in another review I have a lot of lip balm around the house and this is one of the brands I trust. I usually have this tin in my bedside table draw and bring it out on top at night-time as I get very dry lips during the night. The tin can be quite difficult to open, it's ok if you have long nails but if you have any difficulty with gripping things it would be very difficult. Because this tin can be quite difficult to open I tend to open it just before I go to sleep and leave lid on loosely so I can get to it easily during the night. The balm is pale and opaque in colour and smells slightly perfumed. The texture is smooth and you can layer it on as thick as you want to, I tend to layer it quite thinly. It doesn't sink in straight away, which I like, it also doesn't feel too heavy. I also use this for other things as well, like when I have really dry skin especially the knees or elbows. I tend you use this for a dewy make up look as well, so a little on my cheeks and eyelids and it can finish the look. The tin is shallow which is great for me I don't have to worry about it getting stuck in my nails.
The Product
This Vaseline product is priced around £0.83 onwards, depending on where you shop. I found this low price at ASDA, I now know where to get as I usually go to boots where it is £1.15. It also comes in three other versions original, sun protection and rosy lips. It is widely available in shops and on the internet.
I have previously written this review on www.ciao.co.uk under the same username.
Summary: A great soothing lip balm for all to try.
