Vaseline Aloe Vera Lip Therapy
Advantages: Inexpensive, great lip balm
I actually have several tins of this stuff from when Boots did an offer for buy one get one free (or something similar!) I like to keep these in various bags so that I don't have to worry about grabbing things when I'm in a hurry!
(Boots) Vaseline Lip Therapy can be slipped into a pocket or bag. Functional and stylish, Vaseline Lip Therapy helps maintain the skin's natural moisture barrier to form a protective shield between your lips and the elements. Our lips have an amazing ability to experience heightened sensations, allowing us to feel the slightest of touch and sense the environment around us. However, unlike body skin, the skin on our lips does not naturally create its own moisture layer, leaving it susceptible to dryness and chapping. Vaseline's stylish, functional Lip Therapy tins with their original retro look are perfect to help keep lips healthy and protected from the elements, and Aloe Vera adds an extra soothing touch of hydration.
~~Current Price & Additional Information~~
Boots currently sell this for £1.80 per tin, with each tin containing 20g of product.
Petrolatum, aroma, isopropyl myristate, aloe barbadensis, citral, citronellol, eugenol, limonene, linalool.
The packaging is a nice and simple tin with the standard Vaseline logo in green. There is quite a lot of information on either side of the tin. Aside from 'Pocket size' and 'Lip therapy with aloe vera' written on the tin, there is the full ingredients list as well on the back. The barcode itself takes up most of the back of the tin! It's great for putting in your pocket or slipping into a bag compartment. It's about 5cm in diameter and about 1.5cm thick.
The consistency is really soft like butter - much softer than my Rose & Co Cherry lip balm. It lasts a LONG time and even though I've used Vaseline lip balm for a long time, it's pretty hard to get to the bottom of these things! I like the Aloe Vera ones more because you can smell the scent when applying and ...well...it just makes me smile! The colour is light yellow/green and goes on clear which I also really love. Despite being pretty bog standard, it's really moisturising and definitely one of the best basics you can buy! It's my staple item!
Apart from using it on my lips, when I have dry hands I've also used it. It's been pretty effectively and I much prefer taking a subtle, cute tin of Vaseline with me than a tube of hand cream! I've also used it on the heels of my feet when they've been dry. I've heard, BUT have not tried, putting it on the places that rub when wearing high heels - apparently it's really effective!
(The tins are also a decent size for holding coins e.g. for parking!)
Definitely a staple item! Very inexpensive and reliable - the worst you can look with this on is applying too much...but that's about it. It's just a plain and simple product! Keeps me lips happy :)
Summary: Very good lip balm!
