Advantages: Fast absorbing, non-greasy, WORKS

Disadvantages: None

In my line of work, my hands are very important to me. I meet and greet people on a daily basis, some of them I know through work because I work with them but the majority of them I will have never met before in my lifetime ? members of the public, wannabe MP?s and Councillors etc? So to have flaky, rough and dry hands would not impress potential clients and members when I shake their hand.

Therefore, I need a solution, being female if a new cream is advertised on the television im 99% likely to try it, because that is me and that is who I am.

Ive tried cream after cream but when ive run out of my favourite Clarins ?Crème Jeunesse Des Mains? which I will only buy in bulk from the duty free shops when im off on my holidays (because it is loads cheaper, then I stick to the old trusty faithful Vaseline Intensive Care Hand and Nail lotion.

(?,) So why Vaseline? (?,)

Well it is the safe option isn?t it? Vaseline has been around for many years and everyone I know has some form of Vaseline in their home, but what attracted me to try this particular hand cream was the fact that the tube is pink?. Yes how very sad of me but I like all things pink and im sure someone can vouch for that!!

(?,) Where did I find it? (?,)

So there on the shelf in Boots for the bargain price of £1.39 as it was a few months ago for a 75ml, PINK tube of hand cream with Milk Proteins and AHA was my cheaper solution to Clarins and it is just the right size to fit into my handbag. You can also buy £2.69 for 200ml.

This cream can also be found in your high street stores like Savers, Superdrug and Bodycare as well as pharmacies and supermarkets and the price does vary, if you see it priced for anything around £1 then grab it with both hands.

(?,) What does it look like? (?,)

Vaseline Intensive Care Hand & Nail Lotion to give it its full title is not only a lovely shade of pink but is also has a flip top lid which clicks ope
n and shut with ease.

The tube itself displays clearly the Vaseline logo, which is white text upon a blue background closely followed by information on what you are purchasing, in this instance ?Hand & Nail Lotion?.

(?,) The smell (?,)

On a par with Johnson?s baby lotion, which produces a fresh and clean lightly fragranced aroma, Vaseline Hand and Nail Lotion also, smells divine and it is worth nothing that the smell does stay fresh for a few hours.

(?,) The Lotion?.(?,)

The lotion itself is again a light pink colour and you only need a small amount to rub into your hands and unlike some hand creams this is easily absorbed and doesn?t leave behind a greasy after feeling.

In order to get the best out of this cream, it is advised that you do use it 2 or 3 times a day and don?t forget to rub it into those cuticles which are often forgotten.

***The one thing I would mention is not to squeeze the tube too hard otherwise the cream shoots all over the place!*** (No puns intended)

So not only does this lovely cream take care of your hands, leaving them smelling nice and feeling soft but it also promises that your nails will be anything upto 50% stronger. That it helps to prevent your nails from splitting, chipping or breaking and this is due to the added milk proteins and AHA (A protein) which can be found clearly written on both sides of the tube.

(?,) Overall opinion (?,)

Like ive said, this is the cream I use as an alternative to my usual Clarins and just because I prefer Clarins it doesn?t mean I don?t like this Vaseline one.

The Vaseline cream is handy to have around, ive got some stored in my desk drawer in the office and I keep a tube at home for emergencies.

In my job not only do I meet and greet people but I also spend the day at a computer typing away, using a printer, photocopier and risograph, all of which occasionally did some form of lightweight mai
ntenance from the changing of toner and ink cartridges to removing jammed paper. All of which take a toll on your hands.

It was actually my photocopying engineer who told me to buy a good hand cream and keep it around the office because the ink plays havoc with your hands and dries your skin out!

So overall, yes, I am impressed with this cream and I will continue to use it for the foreseeable future. It does leave your hands feeling very smooth and that really impressed me and both my nails and my cuticles appear to be in better condition than they have been.

Oh and a final note - I have very sensitive skin and this doesnt cause any irritation :o)
