Advantages: everything
Disadvantages: none
If you were to turn my house upside down and give it a shake you'd probably find about eight or nine of these little pots fall out, they are everywhere in my house. Jordan often takes the micky out of me because i always cover my lips with this. Not because they are dry or chapped but because i love the greasy way it makes my lips feel.
Packaging.
Very simple for this. Its a small round tin that fits in the palm of your hand. Its blue and white with Vaseline written across the front.
The tin offers the product as 'pocket size' which is bang on. This little tin will fit in all sorts of things, your bag, pocket, car door pocket, kids school bag.
It also says 'lip therapy' at the top. Of course i agree with this but i use my tub for lots of things. I have dry patches of skin on my ankles which i often rub in some of this into to give some relief which i must say works pretty well.
The ingredients or should i say ingredient is petrolatum and that's it!
The tin also contains the weight which is 20 grams and the barcode on the reverse as well as contact information round the outside edge.
The vaseline.
There is not too much i can say about it. Its very smooth and quite thick and does not act too greasy on the skin.
After a single application my lips if they are feeling dry feel much better. It takes a little bit longer to help the dry patches of skin on my ankles but there is improvement after a few days.
I've done quite a few experiments whith mine. I was struggling to find a coloured lip balm that i liked but struggle was the word here. Finally i got one of my own lipsticks and mushed it down into a paste then scooped out half of some vaseline in the tin. I put the lipstick paste into the tin and sat it on the radiator. The heat made the lipstick and vaseline go thiner so i could mix the two together which worked well. I now have a lip balm that keeps my lips soft and has a little colour in it.
Overall
I cannot fault this product, it's small it's cheap and it works wonders in the winter when the weather get cold and nippy. I love the fact that the tin is less rude now. When i was in school i had one of the vaseline pots, you know the ones with the squarish plastic pot and white top. I got the urine taken out of me by my mates. "Oooh, what do you need that for?" "Planning something for tonight?" and many more suggestions that linked my pot and my ass.
So yes i think everybody should have one of these, i have many. One in here next to the PC, one in my handbag, one on my bedside table, one in the bathroom cabinet and some lost that will probably be found in strange places. Did i mention that they grow legs and hide? Perhaps the only bad thing about them, you WILL lose your pot. It WILL disappear at some point, but thankfully easy to replace. 99p from Superdrug but i have seen them in Boots and many newsagents.
I recommend buying two so WHEN you lose your pot you have a back up.
Thanks for reading xx
Summary: Lip therapy at its best.
