Useful, but not great. (Vaseline Lip Therapy)

Advantages: Leaves lips soft and glossy. Cheap, compact and should last a long time.

Disadvantages: Can leave lips red and sore, only comes in one form of application method.

Having used this product in the past I did find that it was great for softening lips and had the additional bonus of applying a glossy finish. I also thought it useful that it came in a compact tin so you didn't have to carry round the large container that Vaseline used to come in. It also has the additional bonus of cheapness. With this particular brand it has the large advantage of not having additional ingredient to add colour or scent.
However, from my own past experience and that of friends I have found that excessive use results in the product not softening lips for a long duration of time, which resulted in me changing lip balms. If too much of the product is used it can also result in the skin becoming red and sore, which I, and most likely many others, find a very unattractive look. Since using Vaseline I have moved onto using Carmex. I have used this product for many years and find that it softens your lips very well, although at first it does tingle. It comes in more forms of application methods that Vaseline, but it is more expensive.
Overall, I would recommend this product but not for every day excessive use and I do think there are better products available.

Summary: I would recommend it, but there are definitely better long term alternatives out there.
