Advantages: Cheap, tin good, easy to use
Disadvantages: Lid can sometimes be firm but stops elaking at least
Little tin of goodness, this will care for your lips any time, any day. It really is a must in anyones handbag.
Varieties=
Original has long been a firm favourite in handbags and pockets and is unscented and basically pure petroleum jelly.
Aloe Vera adds an extra soothing touch of hydration.
Sun protection with SPF15 helps to protect you from the sun's harmful rays - used whilst in Egypt, excellent stuff
Rosy Lips brings out the natural rosy tones in your lips by soothing and gently tinting.
Packaging=
Small round tin disc in 2 halves, a bit retro looking in my opinion, looks quite old fashioned. Sometimes lid can be hard to get off so best to work out the knack of doing it. The bonus of a good fitting lid of course is to prevent any possible handbag leakage which as well know is not a good look.
Appearance=
Cloudy petroleum jelly.
Texture=
Tends to stay nice and firm and therefore is really easy to scoop a little bit on your finger and apply with it not being gloopy or runny I find the texture to be just perfect. Very smooth on the lips. Only a small amount is needed.
Effects=
Does not leave a shine particularly, and coats the lips well due to it's good texture. You will instantly feel soothed and protected from the winter sun and winds and feel like you have a nice smooth pout, you only need to use a little swoop of the jelly with the finger and that will be quite enough. The effects last for ages, I have to reapply lip balm every day every couple of hours or so else my lips feel funny (propably drying effects such as air conditioning, central heating etc) and found this to be just the job.
Price=
Picked up nowadays in this particular variety for about a quid so good value, however if you bought a huge petroleum jelly it would not be much more but obviously that is not as convenient to carry around in your bag, could be put in the car though maybe.
Summary=
The best lip emolient you can buy to be quite honest!!
Summary: 10/10
