Advantages: It can be used for almost anything and its cheaper than most of its competitors.

Disadvantages: It has no fancy flavours, colours, or smells.

I have a problem with my lips and not just in the winter. They dry out indoors, outside, if its warm, if its cold, I attempt to put lipstick on to achieve a more kissable look. What happens? I'm left with berry stains in the middle of my lips and nothing around the outside. When I try and scrub it off I literally have to peel a layer of skin off to remove the colour.

Its not fair I scream at my reflection. I want shiny soft plump kiss me lips after throwing away yet another lip balm that does absolutely nothing but smell nice.

I admit when I first saw the vaseline tub on the shelf in Boots I curled my lip up and thought eew. No nice flavours or smells just a pot of lard. Who wants to put that on their lips. But I was desperate, it was only 99p and I thought what the hell if I don't like it I can bin it with the others. I didn't bin it though. On the contrary I am now never seen without that little blue tub by my side. Why? I'll tell you why.

1. It works. One layer, smooths your lips not just superficially but really sinks in and softens them.

2. It coats them and protects them from the cold wind. Even if your ears are stinging and your nose is bright red your lips are still soft not shrivelled and cracked as per usual.

3. You can put it over your lippy to protect the colour but also to give a lovely shine. Who needs lip gloss?

4. You can also use it for other things.
a. Eyebrows - a little bit to tame them down first thing in the morning.
b. Elbows and knees for any rough spots.
c. Is your face suffering from peely flaky bits from the cold. Dab a bit on as a moisturiser...and no it doesn't give you spots!
d. Mix it in with your eyeshadow to give a shiny effect. The difference is amazing.
e. Frizzy bits of hair? Take a small amount and rub it into your hair. Ta da shiny hair.

This tub is truly amazing. Its simple, its effective and it contains no additives or colou
rings. When something this good costs so little who needs fancy packaging....
