Advantages: Great eyeliner
Disadvantages: Perhaps the price and I can't use the smudger.
I assure you that I'm not a Virgin Vie addict, I have just been to a few V.V nights and always like to get something so that the hostess with the mostess benefits from the night.
The Virgin Vie title for this product is: ' Eye Definer'.
~ Price & Where to buy ~
A bit more expensive than the usual eye liners I have bought, this is currently £9.
If your shopping centre has a V.V shop
OR
Online at www.virgincosmetics.com
OR
At a Virgin Vie night, where the hostess gets approx 15% of the takings to spend on V.V goodies!
~ Colour Range ~
* Storm Cloud ~ Grey (This is the one I bought, as someone once described me as a storm cloud, I'm pleased to say I never saw him again after that!)
* Walnut Whip ~ Brown
* Black Velvet
* Cafe Noir
As you can see, no blues or greens available!!
I think I should have plumped for the black, rather than the Storm Cloud but that was my fault, not the fault of Virgin Vie.
~ Packaging ~
This arrives in a metallic effect, very dark blue/purple box.
~ The Eye Definer ~
This is a double ended eye liner.
The pencil is on one end and there is a 'rubbery' bit on the other end, the 'smudger' It's approx 13cm long without the 'lids' on either end so you get a whole lot of eye pencil!
~ What Virgin Vie say ~
* An eyeliner that defines and enhances with precision.
* Glides on smoothly and evenly.
* Dermatologically tested
* For a softer effect blend with the smudger.
* Long lasting formula
~ My experience ~
The eyeliner part certainly does glide on and lasts all night when I'm out.
I also liked the way that is sharpens very well, all important, as some other brands that I have bought haven't sharpened well and I have had little scratches from the wooden part of the pencil, not so with this one.
As for the 'smudger'..............well I still haven't mastered the art. According to a friend of mine, the idea is that you put it on your top eyelid and then smudge. I've always smudged a bit too much and had to start again from scratch so I just stick to my liquid eyeliner for the top eyelid and this eyeliner for my bottom lid.
So for me the 'smudger' end is surplus to requirements, in which case I did pay a little too much but I wanted to give it a go.
For those of you who are adept at eye make-up application, like my friend it is a good tool to have.
I'm happy with the eyeliner section, but will buy the black next time, without the 'smudger'.
I have only given it 4 stars as I can't use the smudger but the quality of the 'pencil' is excellent as is the quality of most V.V products I have bought.
Summary: A high quality eyeliner but the 'smudger' is surplus to my requirements!!
