****Virgin Vie Mineral Eyeshadow Palette****

I wouldn't normally get virgin vie make up as i think it is rather expensive but after receiving my palette i fell in love with the brand so when qype had a £50 virgin voucher offer on i decided i would do it so that i could treat myself to some of the items i had been eyeing up. When i got down to the shop i discovered that they had a sale on so i was able to get everything i had wanted plus some extras.

When i think of the virgin brand i first think of virgin Atlantic but the brand has a range of products from holidays to makeup, jewellery and household items. Cosmetics is not the first thing i think of but after having received some as a present i was quite eager to get some more as i had quite a favourable impression of it and thought it would be quite good.

The product itself came in a round compact which has four little tubs with clippy lids in it that you open. I found this to be extremely messy as the eye shadows are loose powder. It doesn't seem to matter how carefully you close the pots when you next open the compact you get hit with loose product.
I though the eye shadows in this were really good. When i saw it was mineral makeup i thought it would be quite good, and it was. The colours in this were golden age(golden/glittery cream colour),lapis blue(really deep blue/blak colour),verdigris(green) and damask rose(pink). These colours work best on their own and i wouldn't want to mix them with each other(if you are like me and usually wear two different eye colours like say pink and purple). They are extremely pigmented-a little goes a long way and since they are glittery i would recommend them as an evening eye shadow as opposed to an everyday look. The product is long lasting but this was with a primer potion as i very rarely wear eye shadow without it so i cant comment on how good it is on its own.
This also works well with the virgin vie clear eyeliner -you just use a thin applicator under your eyes and go over it with the eyeliner.

At £12.50 i would have looked at it twice before buying(well i think i actually thought about it more than that).if you think about it as just over £3 for them each it isn't that bad. The only thing i hate about it is the lids.
