Advantages: Nice, compact packaging and a good depth of colour after 2 applications.

Disadvantages: Watery, difficult to apply, comes off easily and poor value for money.

I have bought quite a few Virgin Vie make up and skin care products in the past and am usually quite happy with them. However, the watercolour eyes product I tried (Meadow) was very disappointing.

Firstly, even though I had followed the instructions and given it a good shake to mix the colour, it was VERY watery which made it difficult to apply - even when using "a delicate touch" as suggested on the Virgin Vie website. On first application, the colour is very light and watery so, when you do a second application to get more colour, you just get more liquid.
However, after a couple of attempts, I was quite pleased with the result - but it certainly isn't suitable when you're in a rush!
Unfortunately, by the time I had got to work (about 45 mins later), I was really disappointed to find that most of the colour had gone.

Not great when you consider that this eyeshadow isn't cheap at £8.50.

On the plus side: I like the packaging and it's small enough to carry around in your handbag. If you have time to apply 2 coats and are not too worried about how long it lasts, the colour does look very nice and maybe other shades would give a greater depth of colour on the first application.

However, I don't think that it's good value for money and there are other, longer lasting, easier to apply and cheaper eyeshadows available.

Summary: Not good if you're in a hurry and want a long lasting colour.
