W7 boxed bronzers/ blushers are copies of the Benefit ones so I decided to purchase one to take on holiday with me. I bought Africa from House of Fraser for the bargain price of £3.95. Africa is 8g in weight and it comes presented in an attractive looking cardboard box with its very own compact brush inside. Africa doesn't have a scent like the Benefit bronzers but it does look nice. Africa is made up of small sections of different colours that combine to give you a healthy glow. I apply Africa by swirling the brush around all of the different colours, trying to pick up a bit of each.
Africa looks lovely on my pale skin. The mix of different colours compliment each other really well and it contains just the right amount of shimmer without being TOO shimmery. The overall effect is gorgeous glowing skin and the bronzer lasts all day so I rarely feel the need to top it up. I find that Africa illuminates my skin and takes away my naturally pale look. Plus you can build the bronzer up to achieve your own desired look without the fear of it caking or looking too dark. It just looks really natural and it's long lasting too so it's AMAZING value!
The only downside is that Africa doesn't contain a mirror in the lid like the Benefit blushers/ bronzers do. Also, Africa isn't as highly pigmented as Benefit. However, Africa is amazing value and the packaging is gorgeous. In fact the packaging helps to protect the product so it isn't bashing around in your luggage. Africa is also perfect for all year round use and it's suitable for use on sensitive skin too.
Even if you tried Africa and it wasn't for you it doesn't cost the earth so my advice would be to try it.
Not a patch on Benefit but it's cheap and cheerful!
This was an impulse buy, I bought the W7 Candyfloss powder and this was recommended to me on Amazon. The powder cost me £3.50.
The powder comes in a square box which is made from cardboard. On the front of the box is the word 'Africa' and a map of Africa which is coloured in leopard print. The W7 powders are very much a copy of Benefit's range. Inside the box you get 8g of powder and a brush.
The powder is supposed to give skin a natural glow and is said to suit all skin types.
The best thing about this powder is the appearance, the powder is designed in leopard print. It contains Two bronze shades and some pink.
Inside the box there is a plastic insert this holds the brush in place. The brush itself is good quality, the bristles are nice and soft and have a touch of pink on the ends.
To use the powder your advised to simply lightly dust over your face paying attention to your cheekbones, forehead and chin. It can also be used on your body.
The first time I used this was over a tinted moisturiser as I was looking for a sun kissed glow, the powder delivered this. It has a nice pink tone to it so it doesn't make you look orange. The powder doesn't cake on either it just gives the right amount of colour with a subtle shimmer.
I would recommend this powder for the price it really is a bargain, I have used it all over my body on a night out and it gives a nice finish to the skin. It also looks pretty in the box and this was really the main reason I brought it. This would suit all skin types as you can add more if necessary. The box is small and fits nicely in my bag for touch ups during the day. The powder lasts a decent length of time I work 8 hours a day and it is still visible when I come home from work.
I would give this 4 out of 5 it's a shame there isn't a mirror in the box for touch ups.
