“ Brand: W7 / Lip Balm / Type: Lip Balm / Suitable for: Lip / What it does: regenerates, „
Normally i would just go for a normal standard lip gloss, but I was stood at a counter one day and they had these at the side of the tills on special offer. My daughter saw the strawberry on the front and was instantly nagging for it. So I thought I would buy it to try for myself, and she could either share it with me, or she could have it herself if I did not like it. At a cheap price how could I not give it a go.
The lip balm comes in a small plastic pot, the colour of the pot depends on the flavour you buy, as I bought strawberry mine was red. On the lid it has a strawberry picture on the front. The lid is a screw on cap that is easily screwed off, and put back on again. Inside the pot is obviously the lip gloss, you basically do get what you expect from looking at the pot, as sometimes you open something to find it only half full, not with this its full nearly up to where the lid goes.
How to apply
As this is in a pot the only way to get it out is by either using your fingers, or a lip brush. I usually just put a little blob on my fingers and wipe it over my lips. It can leave a little grease on your hands though so you may prefer to use a makeup brush, and just stick a blob on that and run the brush over your lips.
Is there any smell and taste
There is a fairly strong smell of strawberries when you smell the gloss, and there is also a very and I do mean very slight taste of strawberries, I find normally you only get the smell from these, and then the taste is just a greasy moist taste. But that's not the case with these, you do not just taste as if you have grease on your lips, but you lips feel moist and not too bad to lick as you do get a little taste of strawberry.
How long does it last
I have found with this that I do not need to keep reapplying, just once every hour or two, which I have found about normal for any lip gloss, they do moisture your lips pretty well, and does seem to last a decent time, I have got many lip glosses so I vary in what I use, and because of that I still have half a pot of this after 4 months, so I think that's good going.
My overall opinion
I would recommend this balm, as I find it does moisture well, and if you lick your lips you don't get that horrible waxy taste in your mouth. I bought this on special offer at only £1.50 so I am not sure what it would cost normally as I have not had to replace it yet. But I am sure should I run out and I saw this in a shop I would buy it again.
I would recommend to anyone to give it a try, if you don't like it I am sure your kids will. My daughter used to pinch mine, but since she has got her lip smacker lipsyl she does not tend to bother as much, but I only think that's because of the flavours they do loll.
